Official end date

Does anyone know when the Age of the Empire officially ended? That is, is it whenever the Rebel Alliance was formed or does it continue on throughout the Galactic Civil War to the Battle of Endor? Comm. Boots (talk) 22:55, June 25, 2015 (UTC)

The Dark Times?

Should it be noted somewhere that this period is also referred to as "The Dark Times"? It is referenced as such in the StarWars.com Databank on numerous characters (Tarkin is a good example, it refers to the "Fall of the Republic," "The Dark Times," and the "Galactic Civil War" as the defining epochs. So should the dark times be noted somewhere as an additional name used for the Age of the Empire? I believe it may also be what Obi-Wan calls it in A New Hope when he's talking to Luke. I would also question if there should be an additional "Galactic Civil War" time period between the Age of the Empire and the Era of the New Republic. --SUPCOM0356 (talk) 04:32, April 7, 2017 (UTC)

  • Has been there any thought given to the comment above? Seems like "The Dark Times" should at least be referenced. And why wouldn't the Galactic Civil War be separated from the Age of the Empire as an era like the Fall of the Republic is its own era? --98.212.192.57 17:39, July 4, 2017 (UTC)

      • Well, the databank is an official source. And it does differentiate between 'The Dark Times' and the 'Galactic Civil War'. Actually, it would suggest that the official name of the era is 'The Dark Times'.Veltramore (talk) 09:50, July 31, 2017 (UTC)
