Not comprehensive
This article skips over everything from KOTOR II to TPM - we definitely need at least sections for both the New Sith Wars/Jedi rule of the Galaxy and the Ruusan Reformation. Kuralyov 05:35, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC)
- There will be a lot of overlap with the history bit on the Sith page. Anyway we can get around this? Their histories are pretty intertwined after all. QuentinGeorge 06:33, 25 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Add More Dates
When I read this page, I get an Idea about what happned not when it happned, A history page needs Dates. So we must add it. User:Srini
- I'd rather not go overboard with the dates, since you can go to the individual articles and see that. This should be an article that summarises the Order's history, without going too far into the nitty-gritty. QuentinGeorge 06:34, 26 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Adding Theory
I'm referring specifically to this passage
The Sith Empire was believed to have collapsed shortly afterwards due to infighting and attacks by the Republic, but the Sith Empire had retreated into the Unknown Regions where the Lords of the Sith waited patiently for over a millennium for the right moment to return.
Is there anywhere where this is substantiated? It's still just a theory as far as I know Cull Tremayne 00:31, 6 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Birth Planet of the Jedi Order
Other articles in Wookiepedia suggest that Tython is the birthplace of the Jedi Order. (Click both of these links to check it out.)
Jedi Civil War
Does anyone else think this section needs some major trimming? Its about three times longer than it should be considering its only supposed to be a summary. Besides, I recently did a mojor rewrite and expansion of the main article. This section is just a lot of redundancy...--Sentry 01:07, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Holocaust vs. Purge
Would anyone object to my changing "Jedi Holocaust" to the more proper (in my opinon) "Great Jedi Purge"? - Angel Blue 451 20:46, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Unclear passage
From "Founding of the Order and early Jedi"-part:
A proactive group left Tython to liberate other worlds, becoming the Jedi Knights.
Liberate from what? And what was the outside enemy? Its pretty poor writing to mention threats and liberations without any context. If scholars and mystics from all over the Galaxy were able to come together, then what kind of oppressors did other worlds requre liberation from? DarthMRN 22:19, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Merge
Basically, this article's existence is pretty much a very odd exception to firmly established guidelines. It should be a part of the Jedi Order article, just as any other organization has its history within its own article. So, naturally, I Support such a merge. Xendor Happened After Events on Tython
The First Great Schism involving Xendor and the Legions of Lettow didn't happen until c. 24,500 BBY. The way this article is written, it says this occured on Tython, but in reality it was 500 years or so after.
That's true. The way the article is written, the First Great Schism seems to have occured before the foundation of the Jedi Order, when in reality it was a schism of the Jedi Order. The Force Wars of Tython were a separate, unrelated event. 60.234.202.7 22:18, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Another Pointless Retcon
The timeline on the official site for the upcoming MMO The Old Republic has retconned the foundation of the Jedi Order to have been some 700 years before the formation of the Republic (jerks). Someone may want to fix that. See the Force Wars page for the exact date. 71.61.97.8 17:06, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
