Canonocity?

So, can we consider this canon? Adamwankenobi 05:54, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • ........No. --MarcK [talk] 05:55, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Hip hip does not exist in the galaxy, thus noncanon. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:59, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)
      • See, it has never been proven not to be canon, thus I must assume it is, since it was officially released by Lucasfilm and not deemed infinities. I have formatted the article to fit it in the Star Wars canon. This clip would actually introduce that hip-hop exists in that galaxy, and Yoda can dance, throw his voice, etc.Adamwankenobi 06:20, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)
        • If you really think this could be considered canon, then that seriously calls into question your judgment, logic and sense of humor. --MarcK [talk] 06:24, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)
          • I'm just saying that technically, this could be considered canon, so I've worded the article that way. Adamwankenobi 06:54, 2 Dec 2005 (UTC)
            • If George has any sense of musical taste then he wouldn't consider Hip-Hop canon Jasca Ducato 18:46, 6 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • Rap is awesome, but not for the Star Wars galaxy... I can't believe there is a discussion about the canonicity of a breakdancing Yoda video... --Master Starkeiller 19:16, 14 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • I'm sure Star Wars will one day have it's own equivalent of hip-hop and rap... You'll see Sith Lords singing about women, sex, murder, and getting high on spice.... DAWUSS 17:32, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
  • And why should we buy that Yoda would ever, for any reason, at any case, sing hip hop with the clone troopers in the Temple? MoffRebus 02:45, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • As ridiculous as this discussion is, the video can only be considered ambiguously canon, technically. Perhaps Yoda Jedi mind-tricked the clones into dancing with him and introduced the ability of Force breakdancing. 19:45, 23 July 2006
    • You never know about Yoda. I mean, you're talking about the guy who told Luke "COME, good food, COME!" :P General Kenobi 17:38, 30 Dec 2005 (UTC)

i cant find it...wheres options....User:Jedi Dude

  • Well, if you're still curious, you can always go to one of those video sites like www.youtube.com and do a quick search for "Yoda". It will be among the first ones you find. Unless that is considered piracy, in which case, disregard this message.
  • I Seriously doubt an EASTER EGG can be counted as Canon.
    • Why not? I mean, if we have to take the two Ewok Movies, and the Star Wars Holiday Special, why not something, y'know cool.
  • I think this should be considered a real-world article, and not non-canon, simply because it is about a DVD Feature about Hip Hop Yoda and not Hip Hop Yoda rapping himself.C3PO the Dragon Slayer 19:49, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
    • As for the comment about George Lucas having any taste in music, he obviously does have some sense of where good molodies come from, because he hired John Williams for the soundtrack.

I changed the non-canon template to the ambiguously canon one, and it was reverted. Why? It has not been stated by an official source that the video is non-canon, and its canonocity is disputed, thus it is ambiguously canon (or whatever you prefer to call it). May I replace the non-canon tag with the ambig one again? I'm sorry if I'm being a pest (or whatever you prefer to call it ;). MC Otaku 23:12, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but it is still a disputed fact, and it was never said to be non-canon by Lucasfilm or another official source. In other words, its canonocity is ambiguous. The main issue here is that the template was designed for elements of Star Wars that were officially deemed non-canon. Besides, it is never good to jump to conclusions (not that I am accusing anyone here of doing so by any means). MC Otaku 04:20, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

A Power Socket or a Computer Terminal?

I don't have a DVD Player anymore, per se. I watch movies on my Playstation 2 since my brothers went Death Star on it. Can I still use the PS2 mini menu to access this Easter Egg? I haven't seen it yet, by the way. --Quidon88 21:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Yes. On a PS2, you have to select the numbers from the select menu (which can be accessed by pushing select of course :P). AdamwankenobiTalk to me! My home. 21:18, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Trouble Working

This really doesn't work based on the given instructions. I tried for an hour to get this to work. But since it obviously exists, the problem must be in the instructions. What exactly does "wait for the pause" mean? It is not a good thing to just assume that people will know what that means. Someone is going to have to clarify in the article.Mjr162006 06:45, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

  • When someone inputs a number, the disk will pause, or freeze, so that they cannot do anything for about a second. Hence, "the pause." If you can find a better way to phrase this, please go right ahead and do so. // ~mikah~ 10:43, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
    • Hmm... It still won't work. The disk doesn't pause/freeze for me when I input a number. Since I can't get it to work, I'm hardly qualified to rephrase it properly.--Mjr162006 15:34, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
      • That's weird, I haven't heard that before. // ~mikah~ 18:24, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
      • I figured this out last night, sorry for potentially insulting someone's intelligence as I describe it, but I also found the aforementioned instructions confusing, as I've never done anything like this before. Anyways, when you have highlighted the THX icon, type in "11" and hit enter, as if you hadn't entered anything and simply wanted to select the THX calibration. There will be a small pause after this. Then, press "3" and then enter, then "8" and then enter, each time waiting until after that pause. After hitting enter the 3rd time, it will go into the video.Meeotch 17:35, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Meeotch
        • Are you hitting 1, 1, or 11? you would need to hit the 10+ button then another 1 to get 11. A-118 15:32, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Video

Should there be a better video than just the same 3 seconds looping? A-118 15:33, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
