In Maz's possession?
Although Maz Kanara does possess a dodecahedral holocron, how can we tell it's precisely this one? And if it's been lying in her coffers for over 100 years, it can't have been in the Jedi Archives at the same time during the Clone Wars—granted, we don't know if that last point still holds in canon, but we'll know soon enough with the release of the Visual Dictionary. --Lelal Mekha

- Right now, this is the only dodecahedral holocron that we know of. Also, I don't believe that we know when the FoD frame stories take place, do we? Maz has a pretty long lifespan, after all. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 06:51, May 19, 2018 (UTC)
- Why does the fact that it's the only dodecahedral holocron that we know of mean it's the same one? It may well be the same, but we can't say for sure that it's literally the only dodecahedral holocron out there. It would be better to go back to Lelal's version of the page and wait for the updated Visual Dictionary IMO. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 06:55, May 19, 2018 (UTC)
- Maybe something like Maz Kanata's dodecahedral holocron and list this page in a See also section? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 06:58, May 19, 2018 (UTC)
- Alternatively, we could simply note the appearance of a dodecahedral holocron in Forces of Destiny in this article's BTS. --Lelal Mekha

The one in Forces of Destiny might not even be a proper dodecahedral holocron - it might just be a cube-shaped one with detached points. In TCW: Cargo of Doom, and I think in the Rebels Season 1 premiere, opening a cube-shaped holocron with The Force causes the points to detach. Perhaps it's possible to have the points stay detached. 2A00:23C5:B7E3:5B00:45F9:4A48:28B1:F463 07:50, May 19, 2018 (UTC)
- You know, you're certainly right about one thing, and I failed to notice it sooner: the holocron handled by maz does not have pentagonal faces, so it's definitely not the Great Holocron. --Lelal Mekha

- Good catch. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 08:06, May 19, 2018 (UTC)
- There's also the possibility that it may just be a stylistic choice between mediums. Either way, best not to assume anything at this point. So agreed with the change made to this article. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 08:07, May 19, 2018 (UTC)
