Merge with G-force/Canon?
Should this be merged with G-force? I've always been quite bad at physics, so I'm not sure how a measurement of acceleration can be used as a unit of speed. --Lelal Mekha

- You're right, a G (in real life) is a unit of acceleration, specifically around 9.81m/s2. However, it's not the same as the G-force (a force is not acceleration, a force results in acceleration ()). However I'm not quite sure if a G in Star Wars is meant to be a unit of acceleration or velocity. MGLT seems to be used for speed whereas one of the examples in this article, TIE Advanced x1 lists the G quantity as "maximum acceleration" in the infobox. 1358 (Talk) 17:17, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
- All the canon references to the G unit I've seen are the Incredibuilds booklets. Every single time, it's used to designate a craft's "maximum speed" in space. --Lelal Mekha

- In either case, acceleration or velocity/speed is not the same as a force, so the articles should stay separate. 1358 (Talk) 17:21, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
- Right. But in this case, we have a problem with the Legends G-force article, which tries to have it both ways apparently. --Lelal Mekha
