ET's Home Planet?
Some fans believe that Felucia is meant to be ET's home planet - the Green Planet briefly shown in Steven Speilberg's movie. Can anyone verify that this information has come from an official source?
In Cloak of Deception, James Luceno describes an alien species that sounds a lot like ET to hail come from the planet Brodo Asogi.
Perhaps one was the original home planet of the ET species, while the other is a colony world... -- Azizlight
Does anyone know where the origins of the name of the planet arise? To me, it sounds very similar to the Iraqi town of Fallujah, a common site of attrocity and violence in the war in Iraq. Ideally, what I wish to know is whether the name could have been based upon the real town, and if so, be included in a behind the scenes portion of the article.
- This is verging on conjecture. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:14, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Probably not based on Fallujah, as in BF2 it's pronounced "Fel-oo-see-uh". Cutch 06:33, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
I thought the same thing when I saw Felucia!! In "The Book of the Green Planet," E.T. makes a reference to the "Former World." Felucia could possibly be E.T.'s original home planet, before his species possibly fled the Star Wars universe to escape the rise of the Galactic Empire. In that case, I agree with Azizlight. Also, the "Parent Elders" of E.T.'s race were described in "The Book of the Green Planet," and their description matches the Gossam almost to a T. I really think the E.T. theory should be added to the end of the Felucia article, as maybe "Behind the Scenes" or "Trivia." I'm gonna go ahead and write up something that I'll add later, and you guys can see what you think. Promus Kaa 04:05, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well if you want to think of it that way I thought of that to, actually Mygeeto sounds awfully close to a place near armagettan, and like you said Felucia does sound like Fallujah. Derek Yoda's friend 02:55, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

- Old topic, but I'd believe it. Need a source though. 129.107.81.12 01:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I was thinking of Fallujah, a city in Iraq. The U.S. army was engaged in rather nasty and protracted actions in the city at around the same time that Revenge of the Sith was being filmed, so the link is possible.
Sentient Felucian species?

Acklays a native species?
If there's no source to support that, I think it's obvious they were imported by the CIS. 71.217.5.241 03:39, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- It isn't "obvious". It's "uncertain". I'm removing "(imported)" and adding "(possibly".129.107.81.12 01:32, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

- I always thought theywere like they the rancors and gizka on Lehon. They were brought there on a ship, the ship crashed, they broke out and reproduced like crazy. --LastJedi1515 15:03, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
