This page states that the Exiles and the Sith species merged through Sith Alchemy, while I believe in most other sources it is described as interbreeding (Hundred-Year Darkness, for example). I assume there is a canon description around somewhere? I don't have any resources to check this. Adamjames 22:08, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Stripped of Weapons?
Were the Dark Jedi Exiles truly stripped of their weapons, or is this outdated material? I could have sworn I saw mention of this fact in the New Essential Chronology, but yet, we have images of Karness Muur carrying his old lightsaber amongst the Sith people. Artistic license? Or evidence of a major retcon? Having the Exiles stripped of their weapons explained nicely how by the time of the Great Hyperspace War, the Sith relied on alchemically-enhanced swords instead of lightsabers, which, considering the primitive state they existed in back then, were more easily produced than their power-guzzling, movement-limiting protosabers. -- Alejj Andrus 05:56, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- "Known in Republic space as the Exiles, traitorous Jedi defeated in a galactic war called the Hundred-Year Darkness arrived on Korriban and cowed the Sith people with their astounding Force abilities, lightsabers, and superior technology."- Evil Never Dies: The Sith Dynasties.
I think some of the Exiles might have smuggled lightsabers with them, or parts to construct new ones before reaching Korriban. However they might not have had the parts to construct new ones for every sith, which is a reason latter sith would not have them.(68.222.155.243 20:53, July 19, 2010 (UTC))
- Also a lack of parts to build there protosabers might have been one of the reasons the sith looked to invent a less component heavy lightsaber.(68.222.155.243 22:34, July 19, 2010 (UTC))
Dreypa?
We know he was Muur's contemporary... does that make him an Exile? Gorthuar 20:43, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Alchemical arts to blend their DNA
"Those who remained behind used their alchemical arts to blend their DNA with those of the Sith, allowing their lineage to continue through the Sith species."
Where does that come from ?

Exact Number
When I read the quote from Sorzus Syn she says that there were 12 of them. Does she mean 12 high ranking dark jedi with there being many other minor dark jedi as well. Or were there just simply 12 dark jedi survivors that went on to lead the Sith.
It seems odd that in star wars the dark jedi intermarry with the sith and create a crossbread race with only 12 individuals with at least one (Xoxaan) not even being human. If anything the human bloodline would quickly disappear and the sith species would have continued. But we don't see that we see the sith race completely interbread with dark jedi humans into a crossbread race.
So my question is how many dark jedi landed on Korriban. Just 12, or were there several dozens or hundreds of them with only 12 high ranking members left? Sith1 18:19, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
- This has caused me some concern as well. From the photo of the Exiles taken from the Tales of the Jedi comic, it looks like it was clearly intended from the beginning for them to have numbered in the hundreds, or at least several dozen. Unfortunately, it looks as though that number has been drastically retconned into having been but twelve. Guess they wanted to keep it apostolic. 24.3.90.58 00:49, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
- Tales of the Jedi is still canon, and it shows that there were at last two Dark Jedi transports in which the exiles traveled—and you can see pretty clearly that there are about ten persons per ship. Why would they need two transport ships if they were only twelve? My understanding of this all is that there were only twelve "important" Jedi, and a bunch of minions. I think it should be mentioned somehow, or maybe we should try an ask Dan Wallace whqat he intended...--LelalMekha 22:23, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
- Done. I just asked Dan Wallace on twitter and he already answered: "@reeldefiction 12 with minions. That way there's more flexibility to put more characters there in the future."--LelalMekha 15:19, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
