Just a question
How was this cut from a cannon source? It's in ROTJ, isn't it? --Maaul--(Send Message|Enlist)

- I was thinking the same thing... although it's probably because the Ep. VI Special Edition is considered canon because it's more recent. Jorrel Fraajic 19:22, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Anything added in the SE supercedes the original release, just as anything new in the 2004 DVD release supercedes the SE - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 19:37, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
It is still canon, I believe.ruusan 23:44, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia page for this song states that it was originally known as "Varner's Vindication". Is this true? I have not been able to verify it. --65.77.70.190 18:07, March 24, 2014 (UTC)
Canon
Is there any particular reason why this isn't canon? Mmwa (talk) 02:00, January 18, 2017 (UTC)
Legends?
I don't see why this is considered legends. Canon wasn't instated until the 2010s and Victory Celebration was added in 1997 so it's not the 'canon' piece of music in either continuity. I think it best to just remove the canon/legends header.—Unsigned comment by Paccyd33 (talk • contribs)
- This would be because of the "(Pre-1997 releases, and Limited Edition release only)" note. Since it was in ROTJ only in pre-new-canon and in the Limited Edition, and because the rest of its appearances are pre-new-canon, that'd be why. And though replaced, it still was in some valid releases of ROTJ and hasn't been declared non-canon by Lucasfilm, meaning for Wookieepedia purposes its just defined as Legends in a general sense.—spookywillowwtalk 04:32, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
