His species

Aqualish look different in The Clone Wars, see Unidentified Aqualish technician (Maridun). I was seachring fan forums, but no one has idea what his species could be. ShaakTi1138 13:15, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

  • He's an Aqualish. He has three fingers like most Aqualish. His face and eyes look like an Aqualish. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 16:44, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
    • Ok, ok... I think that we have to wait for official source. ShaakTi1138 08:07, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
      • I agree with ShaakTi. That face does not look Aqualish. Darth Trayus 30px (Trayus Academy) 03:40, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
        • He could be Aqualish or he is a different species, these are all just speculations. I wouldn't say his species until it is confirmed. I think JMAS is right because he does have similiar traits to a Aqualish, but it is not known. JangFett Talk 05:24, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
          • He is not an aqualish. Dave Filoni confirmed he's of a new aliens species in San Diego ComicCon (7/31 ForceCast, 1:17:55). I don't know where where this "Vygox" name currently in the article came from. Could be fanon. Gry Sarth 15:00, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

Name

His name has been confirmed to be Embo

  • And source for this? Please, sign. ShaakTi1138 07:58, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Dave Filoni said it in the SanDiego ComicCon. You can check out the audio clip in the 7/31 ForceCast at 1:17:55. Can this article be moved to the official name, then?Gry Sarth 14:58, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
      • It must come from an official source, Gry. Due to Comic Con was back in July, certain new things, that will appear in season two, may have changed. JangFett Talk 15:08, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
        • Isn't Dave Filoni stating something in an official panel in ComicCon considered official info?! And what is the logic in assuming that something released a couple of months ago may have been changed? If something has been officially stated and there's no new argument to contradict it, then it's still valid, official information. Gry Sarth 15:14, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
          • If Dave Filoni said his name is Embo, shouldn't the page be moved to Embo? Are you saying Dave's info is not official? 65.34.3.78 15:17, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

So, this is another techno-service droid? What's the source for his name? MauserComlink 13:14, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

  • I'll be happy to merge/move the article to Embo if Gry will kindly provide a link to the source. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 13:17, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
    • If you just look a couple of posts above your own you will see where I listed the source. It makes discussion difficut if you don't care to read the arguments posted. Again I ask: when the director states something in an official panel, is that not official info? And if it's a link you need http://www.forcecast.net/story/forcecast/Weekly_ForceCast_Step_Aside_G4_125379.asp Gry Sarth 18:15, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
      • And if you'll look at the post above yours, you'll see that I did asked for a link which you did not originally provide until just now. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:22, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
        • Ok, so we have a link now. Can we move this thing to its proper name? Gry Sarth 16:39, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
          • I am inclined to agree with you. However, unless there is a video file to correspond to verify that he is showing the image of this alien when he is making those statements about Embo, it is possible, however unlikely, that there is another hat-wearing bounty hunter we have yet see or to know anything about. I'll have to defer to some other experienced Wookieepedians to get their take on it. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 17:05, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
            • Oh, come on. The panel was broadcast on TV, countless fans saw it and posted on forums that "cool hat guy" is called Embo and whatnot. I understand you're a cautious guy, but we do have enough info here to know that this guy IS Embo. If the ComicCon panel is going to be ignored, then this article must be reverted back to your old "Unknown Aqualish Bounty Hunter" version, which was only changed due to what was mentioned on ComicCon about Embo being of a new species. Gry Sarth 18:53, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
              • Then feel free to merge the information here into the Embo article. I won't revert it. But I can't speak for others. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 19:16, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Ok, What the HECK is going on here? Why are people juggling Embo back and forth without posting anything in this discussion? If you disagree with the move, state your logic.Gry Sarth 20:33, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

  • You're going to have to provide a lot more evidence and reasoning that is not related to others' perceptions of this on forums to sway me or anyone else who thinks otherwise. I'm with JMAS on all of this. CC7567 (talk) 21:44, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
    • Per CC and JMAS. JangFett Talk 21:53, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
      • JMAS wrote above to me "I am inclined to agree with you" and "Then feel free to merge the information here into the Embo article", do you agree with that? This is not a matter of "others' perceptions". The director pointed at the picture and said "This is Embo" on live TV. I don't understand the uncertainty.Gry Sarth 21:59, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
        • All it would take is a video of said panel, not just an audio clip. I've scoured the net for a video of the SW panel at Comic Con, but cannot find one. Heck, I'd even take the word of a single other Wookieepedian who happened to be present to see the panel live who could verify this - we need corroboration. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:02, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
          • Things change. While I cannot speak for others, I personally don't trust Dave Filoni's word. Due to the "complex" situations that season two will be presenting, this article should remain where its at until an official name is released. The Episode Guide, a databank entry, are a few official sources. This bounty hunter could be in different episodes and possibly be impersonated. It's currently unknown of who this guy is because of the lack of video to actually show if this guy is "Embo." JangFett Talk
            • I respectfully disagree. Dave Filoni's word is good enough if a video of the claim can be shown. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:09, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
              • Previously, I was going to say: how do you know if Dave Filoni actually said that this bounty hunter is "Embo," without video or images showing him pointing at the guy? I'll respectfully take Filoni's word if I can visually see him naming this bounty hunter. JangFett Talk 22:14, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
                • Well, if you HAD watched the TV coverage of ComicCon, you would have seen it. Apparently you missed it, too bad. Many others DID see it and posted about it. But of course, we can't trust non-wookieepedian star wars fans...Gry Sarth 22:16, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
                  • If you're going to be snide about this, then the door is right over there. No, we did not watch the TV coverage of ComicCon, and no, we do not trust others' words unless we see it for ourselves. That's the way we do things here, and if you disagree, then there isn't any point trying to get us to change our habits. CC7567 (talk) 22:18, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
                    • It's funny how you say "we" as if I wasn't a wookieepedian. What, I haven't made enough edits to join the clan? Gry Sarth 22:20, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
                      • If you're going to talk about this from a different perspective and blame us as "Wookieepedians," then yes, that's the way it's going to be seen. CC7567 (talk) 22:22, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
                      • Please stop. While you are going off topic, Gry, arguing with others' will not help. And Per CC, I need to visually see Dave Filoni say "This bounty hunter is Embo," or else I cannot believe it. JangFett Talk 22:24, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
                        • I never blamed "you wookieepedians", I blamed you JangFett who reverted Embo back to unidentified without discussing first, you CC7567 who think my word counts for less than other people's and JMAS who was agreeing with me, but is back to opposing the move now that he has other people behind him.Gry Sarth 22:30, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
  • Hey, Jang, I just listened to the ForceCast audio for the Comic Con panel and Dave Filoni states "Here's a new one, a new alien species. This guy's name is Embo and he does a little Seven Samurai and he can throw that hat as a weapon.…" So, if you are going to add the information about this hunter throwing his hat as a weapon, then you are basically confirming that he is Embo. Something to think about. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 00:13, September 11, 2009 (UTC)
    • Thank you for refreshing my memory, JMAS. Yes, then until this bounty hunter is confirmed as "Embo," the hat-weapon throwing should be removed. JangFett Talk 00:19, September 11, 2009 (UTC)
