Elomin weren't in the SWCCG game, it was just the Elom!

Furry...?

In "Paradise Snare" the Elomin are described as "shaggy furred" (pg.2). Did A.C. Crispin confuse the Elomin for the Elom? Or are there furred variants of the Elomin...?JediX 02:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I have mixed up the names myself once. I find it highly likely A.C. Crispin did the same. Frank V Bonura

Revisionism?

"They were thought by some xenoarchaeologists to be descended from a lost colony of Zabrak who settled Elom in the distant past."

Can anyone tell me where this statement was cited from? It smells a whole lot like unofficial conjecture or an act of fan fiction to me. I Think it needs a citation or it needs removal. Any clues? Frank V Bonura

  • You may want to check your nose, it's from the NEGtA, which is already cited in the Sources section. For someone so sure of what is and isn't canon, you don't seem to be so well read in SW reference material to be making those kinds of judgment calls. Dangerdan97 23:54, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
    • OK I looked again. The term "NEGtA" does not appear in the sources section. Did you mean The New Essential Guide to Alien Species? If so, then where exactly is the footnote that points to that specific source at the end of the reference? Please tell me how someone who does not have the book in question would know what to look for or buy to get an answer to this above question? Thank you in advance for your help. -- Frank V Bonura
      • Sorry, abbreviations have become a sort of jargon for brevity's sake. Yes, I did mean the New Essential Guide to Alien Species. As far as specifics or page number or entry, it has not as of yet become explicit policy to be as bibliographic as a formal essay might require (this wiki being a recreational pursuit for most, there is a degree of casualness that is the result). You may feel free to infer that, once it is established which book or source the information is cited from (in this case a reference book that organizes Star Wars races alphabetically) that the information you seek will be in an appropriate section (in the presently example, the entry on Elomin). I certainly find it more fun to spend a little bit of time digging around in a book to find the info, and in the process pick up new information. I can understand that you'd be less interested in being exposed to newer Star Wars info, though. Dangerdan97 15:31, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
      • I can't find a tutorial for creating a "Notes and references" section for this page. A "Notes and references" section would greatly improve this article and allows for all those nice little footnote "[1]" links that tell you where specific information comes from. It would have prevented much confusion. -- Frank V Bonura
