Not that much of a coincidence, they're not exactly rare.

every three studs is a meter. Minifigs are approx 5 studs high, about humans about 1meter 60centimeters, yes? Then a stud is 30-odd centimeters, 3 are a meter.

You may argue that quite a few lego models aren't three times as many studs as it says meters here, and that's because lego tend to make things a little bigger or smaller depending on what is easier, and more swooshable. -JimmytheJ 21:41, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
