"Are you an angel? Aw, I'm just kidding. That's the worst line I've ever used. Hope some poor kid doesn't start using it." Just wondering why this quote is probably non-canon. Could just be a coincidence.--Darth Oblivion 23:58, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
appearances?
were there more appearances or is this article mostly fannon? Ugluk 00:53, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Is this the best quote about "angels" that we've got? If it is, than it's probably just fanon. Plokoon 9 03:00, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Lifespan
What is the average life span? Do they live forever like the Maelibus?
I think they do live forever like the Maelibus. The whole nebula does funny things to time. 75.24.206.126 19:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
The Force
How do Diathim appear in the Force? - Darth Havoc 02:18, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Picture
Now that we know what angels really look like, the picture from that 'Geonosis and Outer Rim Worlds' book or whatever it's called is outdated, and now non-canonical, unless there's some kind of retcon. So we need to update the pic to that of their TCW appearance. I would do it, but have no way of doing it.. I don't have a pic from the TCW episode to upload here. --The Wolfe22 15:32, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- Read the article; Diathim appear differently to different beings, so there's no reason to think that that the depiction in Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds is non-canonical. jSarek 20:45, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Two people could look at a person differently, but that doesn't change how that person looks.. --The Wolfe22 23:13, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- When you're talking about quasi-mystical near-angelic alien beings, yes, it can. At least, for any meaningful use of the term "looks." jSarek 01:14, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
- Since TCW's Diathim are seen from the perspective of humans and humanoids, I've gone back to the GATORW as the main image for what I feel is a more objective view of them. - Lord Hydronium 21:02, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Changes
So, why is most of the info from the guidebook gone? Are so we sure it's all rendered non-canon?
Space angels
And if you believe that, Trever thought, you believe in space angels. From The Last of the Jedi: Underworld. Should we create an article about space angels or should we assume they are another name for the Diathim? In the first case, this article could use a youmay tag; in the latter case, the mention-only appearance should be added to this article. --Skippy Farlstendoiro 09:41, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
EDIT: I didn't mean to put this in your comment- I hit the 'add a comment' button. Sorry. ^^'
Anakin Skywalker's line "Are you an angel?" was spoofed in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords by Atton Rand. If the player completes the game three times and plays a female character later, Atton will ask when he first meets the player: "Are you an angel? Aw, I'm just kidding. That's the worst line I've ever used. Hope some poor kid doesn't start using it." I'd like to challenge this. I've never seen it, and if someone has access to the game with code to verify? I just completed Three speedruns of Kotor2. Atton Rand does not say the line. I am editting and removing it, unless I experienced some kind of error, or did not perform the trick correctly. [Edit to add Tilde] 207.134.170.203 19:23, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Atton only says the line if you have completed the game at least twice and are playing as a female Exile. MauserComlink 19:25, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Two different species.
Ever considered that Diathim and Angels are two totally different species? Diathim were noticed with the Maelibus, on the same planet, in GATORW. But does it specify that Diathim were "sometimes called angels"? Perhaps Angels also lived in Iego, and were seperate from Diathim. I think if there's no evidence to support that Diathim were nicknamed Angels then that means that both species are totally seperate. If I am wrong, and they are the same species, then please edit the article to mention that other species perceive their appearence differently according to their desires; and mention that Diathim/Angels have this ability. —Unsigned comment by 86.146.44.188 (talk • contribs)
Same actress voice
About the famous Anakin's line "Are you an angel? ", I was thinking that perhaps it's not a coincidence that for the voice of the Diathim has been chosen the same actress for Padmé, Catherine Taber, but it could be a sort of homage to Episode I (as if Anakin had been indeed right saying those words). —Unsigned comment by 79.9.130.237 (talk • contribs) Is it a reasonable hypothesis, according to you, to be able to be mentioned in the article?
- Sorry, unless its confirmed by one of the actors or producers of the show, then no. Its just speculation now. Dr. Kermit(Complain.) 03:38, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
Why do they do it?
What motivation could these "angels" have that drives them into making ships crash, is it some perverse form of amusement or do they believe in some cause that justify it? Have any cannon source touched on this? 81.233.213.183 13:53, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
First Mentioned
Angels are first mentioned on page 115 of the Star Wars Novelization back in December of 1977 not first in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. -- Frank V Bonura 00:37, July 8, 2018 (UTC)
