Canon/Legends Cleanup

Couple of questions to make sure this page isn't being bogged down by info retained from the Legends page, but I don't have many new canon sources. Firstly: in new canon, do we have confirmation that deflector shields are an umbrella term, and not strictly for ship shields? And secondly, do we have any source stating that particle shields and concussion shields actually exist in the new canon? 2600:8800:5982:1A00:6091:4594:DCE7:30E0 11:38, January 6, 2018 (UTC)

Canon

Is Battlefield 2 considered canon? It's the only source on the man-portable shield domes. Unsigned comment by 100.10.87.7 (talk • contribs)

The Claim that Star Wars has no shields!

I've actually heard more than one person claim this before. I wondered if there could be some reason. The fact the shields are very close to ship and when a weapon (or asteroid) hits them, the shields don't become visible, it appears the shields are INVISIBLE, when the turbolaser bolts hit the shields of the rebel ship at the beginning of A New Hope, they simply disappear, the shield doesn't light up or anything, not like the Gungan shield that was a dome in The Phantom Menace. I don't understand your point, TBH. Star Wars clearly HAS deflector shields, as this very page proves. If you're trying to dispute it, you're doing it wrong. Besides, talk pages are primarily for maintanance of the articles; not for discussions that belong on forums and such. Timjer (talk) 13:03, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
