Actually need an article?
I don't think this actually requires an article-this isn't some conspiracy at multiple levels of the Empire, just a coup that Vader himself is planning. The only three people who knew about it were Luke, who didn't care, Thanoth, who willingly died to protect it, and Aphra, who was hired to help, but also didn't care. - Unlike Legends (I think) this conspiracy has been mentioned in Canon, even in opening crawls, and has been an on going plot.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 03:45, November 8, 2018 (UTC)
- It may be a recurring plot, but it's not really a definite "thing" or an event, just a phrase used to regard what Vader's plans are. It can probably be covered on all the relevant characters' articles. Zed42 (talk) 03:47, November 8, 2018 (UTC)
- O.K. why did you have add that *? Second, it's been coined so often it has to be a thing.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 04:05, November 8, 2018 (UTC)
- Zed42 is correct. To answer your other question Rgilbert, bullet points are proper formatting on talk pages.Fan26 (Talk) 11:57, November 8, 2018 (UTC)
- Maybe here but not on other wikias and this wouldn't be the first conjectural page about something that was actually happening like the Early rebellion against the Galactic Empire in Legends.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 16:08, November 8, 2018 (UTC)

- Still it was coined and if you doubt me you can reread Star Wars, Darth Vader and Doctor Aphra to see it is a thing.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 16:29, November 8, 2018 (UTC)
- I'm leaning towards putting it in the trash compactor and letting everyone debate its authenticity at the moment. Also, please follow the formatting guidelines and add bullet points. Fan26 (Talk) 16:36, November 8, 2018 (UTC)
- And I'm still for it also how many bullet points is too many before there just dropped?--Rgilbert27 (talk) 16:57, November 8, 2018 (UTC)

- In my opinion, this is not a necessary article. As is with all the Sith, the apprentice always plans to overthrow their master. A quick example would be Dooku training Savage Opress to help him overthrow Sidious during the Clone Wars. This "conspiracy" is not an actual event, it's more of a personal agenda and plan. If we were to allow this article, it would open up a precedent of being able to make articles for things people want to do, travel to, and etc. Unless actual events occur in which Vader attempts to overthrow Palpatine, which we have not seen, this article is not necessary and shouldn't be kept.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 21:58, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
- I concur. I'm thinking a TC should be created and let the community vote there. The only reason I haven't done that yet is I wanted Rgilbert to improve the article and explain why he believes it is necessary and notable; so far he has only done the former. Fan26 (Talk) 22:06, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
- It's notable because unlike Dooku or even Maul this is more consistent and Sith have made plans that've gone on to be pages before like the Grand Plan we just need users like Andykatib or SilverSunbird and rereading to help fill it out.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 23:52, November 10, 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting in touch with me, Rgilbert27. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Fan26, Zed42, and Vitus Infinitus on this matter. I don't think we really need to have a special article dedicated to Darth Vader's conspiracy. It is normal for Sith apprentices to always conspire to overthrow their masters. In addition, the Sith masters would try to replace their apprentices with more worthy individuals. For example, Darth Sidious goading Anakin Skywalker into killing Count Dooku in Revenge of the Sith and Sidious trying to goad Luke Skywalker into killing his father Darth Vader. Having an article dedicated to Darth Vader's conspiracy would lead to more articles such as "Darth Sidious' conspiracy to replace Count Dooku" or "Darth Sidious' conspiracy to replace Darth Vader." I think it would be best to discuss the conspiracy in existing articles such as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and the Sith. Doctor Aphra 23 seems to be the only source to refer to Vader's plan as a conspiracy and also makes it clear that Magna Tolvan knew about his conspiracy to replace Darth Sidious. Unless the conspiracy is explored in further detail in other sources, I don't think that it warrants creating a separate article. Apart from the Dr Aphra comic, I don't recall the other sources including The Empire Strikes Back identifying Vader's plan to replace the Emperor with his son Luke as a conspiracy including the Lego Star Wars episode "Flight of the Falcon." I would support having a consensus track to resolve the matter. I might be willing to reconsider my stance on the article if the article is expanded or if more information comes to light. But for now, I think a biographical article such as the Vader or Tolvan articles would be the best place to write about it. Andykatib 07:44, November 11, 2018 (UTC)
