Appearances
Feel free to cut the appearances down to the significant ones if it looks excessive, someone. — Silly Dan 00:53, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I think all this article needs is sources. No offense. Admiral J. Nebulax 00:55, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- Rather than the major appearances of every major cyborg, you mean? Sure, but I'd argue that the movie appearances should be kept. If I can think of more sources, I'll put them in. — Silly Dan 01:11, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I guess the movie appearances could be kept. Admiral J. Nebulax 21:24, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I'll cut it down to the movies. Still needs more sources, and I'm only aware of the one. — Silly Dan 23:08, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see if I can find any. Admiral J. Nebulax 00:07, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Also why there is an image of Grievous in notable cyborgs section? Who put an image of him there? Hes a robot because he is made of metal and the superior version of the standard Magnaguard.(We need a name 19:50, 28 August 2008 (UTC))
- He is partially organic, thus a cyborg
Psychosis, Prejudice Etc
I think this article could be expanded to include information from the Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology, which says cyborgs are prone to psychosis, gradually lost their emotions and were not considered citizens under Imperial law. Nick Fel 21:47, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- Is that necessarily true of those who do not have any modifications to the brain? If "cyborg" is going to take a broad definition and include people like Luke who just get prosthetic limbs or whatever? Do we know how broad the Imperial law is? Does it distinguish between cases involving brain implants and those that don't? Teris Shae 19:14, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the EGWT article was about brain implants specifically. The section I wrote into this article does say "Cyborgs with brain implants..." I very much doubt the laws and prejudice covers prosthetics, since they're very common. Nick Fel 09:22, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- The psychosis part, I understood to be for brain implants only. The laws, though, either I'm really dense (very possible!) or the article--or the source it comes from?--was ambiguous as to how wide-sweeping it is. One would HOPE the law wouldn't cover prosthetics. Of course, with an evil Empire...one never knows. ;-) As for the prejudice, though--I would bet that DOES extend to any case where somebody's appearance is dramatically altered. I admit I'm trying to nail this stuff down for a fanfic, but I also figured clarifying all of this could serve the article well. Teris Shae 14:47, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- As I say, the source article this came from was specifically about Lobot-type brain implants, and spoke of laws and predjudices against cyborgs with such implants. Unless there's a further source, we can only speculate about whether this might extend further. It does makes sense that normal people might be unsettled by visible prosthetics, but there's no source for it... that I know of ;) Nick Fel 16:30, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Now that I look at it, I can see what threw me off in the article: it's the inclusion of that sentence about Darth Vader's reputation in the same paragraph as the discussion about cyborgs with Lobot-type implants...at least as far as I'm aware, Vader didn't have any brain implants? Maybe instead it belongs in the paragraph that begins "Cyborgs with large-scale enhancements..."? Teris Shae 17:12, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- First appearances of this prejudice against cyborgs appeared in early issues of Marvel's series, but the best example is the character of Beilert Valance. Overall, the prejudice is probably an extension of the prejudice towards droids, and before you go saying its all a Marvel-based idea, remember that Lucasfilm has always been very close with all creators dealing with their properties, and have final veto on whether something appears or not -although that doesn't explain Jaxxon;).Tocneppil 21:26, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Right, I'm not arguing the existence of the prejudice, which certainly does seem to cover any individual with significant modifications, whether to the brain or not. My main goal is to understand what the Imperial and Alliance laws covered. :-) Teris Shae 00:12, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Cyber Maul Picture?
Doesn't Darth Maul with his robot legs deserve a mention and his picture put up in this? - Awar 15:42, 21 February 2007 (UTC).
- I'd say no, as it's non-canon.Kaje 16:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Then why is it on the Darth Maul page if it's non-canon?
- The Maul article uses the image under a section that is marked non-canon. Gustafar 18:26, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Is C-3PO a cyborg?
If C-3PO isn't a cyborg, then why does he always say, "I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations." Nat682 21:41, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Techno union
Shouldn't the Techno union be somewhere on this page? they appear to be quite cyborg-ish, and in the movie one of them adjusts his voice with a button on his chest! I would call that a quite big enhancement.Wolf of Thor 14:03, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
"Borg"?
Is the use of "borg" (as in "borg implant", appears a bit in HttE) an intentional reference to Star Trek, or just a coincidence? And yes, I know it's short for cyborg. {{SUBST:User:Xavius/Signature}} 10:19, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
nelvaanians
the nelvaanian words are mixed up, however, i cannot edit it for some reason. instead of rokrul of all male nelvaanians, oughtn't it say all male nelvaanians from rokrul?Senatorial Aide Van Ishkoh 19:29, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
Unidentified -- famous?
Why is an unidentified cyborg on the list of famous cyborgs?--Darth Naeblis 02:44, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
Why they are a Cyborg?
Perhaps with the List of cyborgs we should add how they are a cyborg? I mean how is Darth Krayt a Cyborg? KnightmareS-C075 (talk) 04:24, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
