Cy Yunga's species

  • Perhaps some sort of sapient relative of the dianoga?--Darth Oblivion 18:18, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
    • If he is, as explained, an alien of Niado Duegad's species, then he is a Vodranite - which is a sapient species related to the dianogas. However: Does Star Wars Episode I: Racer states that Yunga's species is same as Duegad's? This guy might be a new species. - Skippy Farlstendoiro 10:48, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
      • I don't believe Cy is a Vodranite, just because of the differences in physiology. Vodranites have tails, appear to slither like slugs and have gaping mouths located in the abdomen. Cy Yunga has no tail, no visible mouth, stubby legs, longer arms with more fingers and is significantly smaller in size. Check out the Vodranites in the comic "Shadows of the Empire: Evolutions", and the maquette photos appearing in Star Wars Chronicles for confirmation.Plavalaguna 18:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
        • Well, since we don't even know that all so-called Vodranites are necessarily native to Vodran, I'm removing Cy's possible homeworld. All we can really say about Cy is that he kind of resembles a smaller version of Niado Duegad's species, whatever they're called. Otherwise we are piling speculation on top of more speculation.
