Religion?

In MedStar I: Battle Surgeons and MedStar II: Jedi Healer, Dr. Jos Vondar (a Corellian) described a Corellian tradition that forbade marriage to anyone from outside the Corellian system. Anyone who married someone from outside the Corellian system would be exiled, and forever dishonored. Maybe the article should mention this tradition?

  • Didn't seem to stop Han Solo from going there in the Corellian Trilogy, though the Corellians may have made an exception as his wife was the President of the New Republic. -- SFH 05:31, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Wasn't this brought up in the trilogy with Lando's wife being from the Corellian system? Maybe the law was ended sometime after the Clone Wars, and Sal-Solo re-implemented it. Kuralyov 05:44, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • I just added the tradition to the culture section of the article. 141.154.153.55 05:49, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • Actually, Tendra was from Sacorria, where it was forbidden for a woman to marry without her father's consent. -- SFH 05:50, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Not ALL Corellians belonged To Jos's family's religion!

Edit War?

Looking at the history, seems like an edit war is slowly breaking out. Geekmasterflash 00:49, 1 Dec 2005 (UTC)

History

The history section of this article needs sub-headers and a comprehensive integration of dates into a smoother narrative. --SparqMan 21:36, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Major Edit

What exactly is being added that takes weeks?

Format Error

I don't know if this is just my crappy computer or what, but it looks like the picture for the Blockade Runner is blocking some text... only one line, but still. It shouldn't be doing that, should it? 69.24.160.214 19:52, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Corellian Trilogy

Is the Corellian Trilogy written by Roger Macbride Allen considered official Star Wars canon??

Yes. -- Falmarin 07:10, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Why were the eras removed?

They are being put back.

  • To quote the edit history, "eras don't go on planets due to their longevity". -- I need a name 12:22, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Planets' longevity

The eras were removed because of the explanation about longevity. However, shouldn't the eras be put in if there is mention of the topic in that era? For example, the old era was removed from Chiss Ascendancy because the only records of the Chiss having contact with the mainstream galaxy so far start in the Rise of the Empire era.

So, wouldn't it be logical to put the eras on things because they are mentioned in those eras, not necessarily because they existed during those eras. For example, Corellia was a Core Founder and developed the hyperdrive, putting it in the old era. Garm Bel Iblis had a role in the Rise of the Empire era. Many Corellians were part of the Rebellion era (and according to the article there was a rebel base on Corellia or its moon). Corellia was part of the the new era, with the corellian crisis. Corellia was part of the njo era (it and its neighbors were to be used as bait). And Corellia was obviously part of the Legacy era as that era starts with the Corellian Alliance.

And why is the text not wrapping and there's an odd box around some of it? Exp.Fl.Cmndr. Mitth'raw'nuruodo 12:36, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

  • The wrapping is failing because you're indenting paragraphs with spaces rather than the MediaWiki-approved method of colons (:) and asterixes (*). Don't ask me why MediaWiki does this. As for putting era boxes on planets, and other inherently long-lived subjects, you may want to start a thread in the Senate Hall or the Consensus Track about this to get more responses. —Silly Dan (talk) 12:44, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Appearances

I think the list of Appearances needs to be checked if its still orderded chronologically. --Bender235 09:13, 25 October 2006 (UTC

Infinite Empire?

What source places Corellia in the Infinite Empire? The reason I'm asking is in Knights of the Old Republic, the Ancient Droid on Dantooine very specifically says it does not recognize Revan or Bastila (who are both human, the same as the Corellians) as belonging to one of the Rakata slave species. And as the droid had been there presumably since the waning days of the Infinite Empire, this would seem to preclude the Corellians from having ever been slaves of the Rakata. Well, I've been hoping for an answer for at least a month now, so if no one has one I'm going to remove the "Infinite Empire" Section due to a lack of supporting evidence. Unsigned comment by 131.50.151.8 (talk • contribs)

1st Apperance?

What was it? .... 00:09, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Gravity

I know its not the biggest thing, but there is a red link "artificial gravity generator" wouldnt it be more appropriate to just link it to gravity well generator or something of the sort?

Han and being heir to the throne

From the article: "It is implied in The Courtship of Princess Leia that Han Solo is the last member of the Corellian royal family, and the heir to the Corellian throne."

I thought at the end of COPL, 3PO revealed he made a mistake and Han's ancestor was really a pretender to the throne. --70.225.176.94 04:30, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Pretty sure it was. I guess whoever added it didn't finish the book. :-p -- Ozzel 04:32, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Picture

I'm sure there's a better picture for corellia than that somewhere.

Atton Rand?

i was buzzing through many forums about Atton rand, is he or not a Corellian? If he is then PLEASE put him in notable corellians PLEASE!!!!!!!!! --Unsigned comment by an anonymous user in December 07.

  • I just took a gander at Atton Rand's bio, and nothing is mentioned of any homeworld. So, it's best to assume that he's not from Corellia until a source says otherwise. Sorry. =/ Trak Nar 21:36, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

The mention of "Correlli" in the Marvel comics- Needing some more information so I can source that.

I might be able to confirm that "Correlli" spelling, though I need some more information. Specifically, I need comic issue numbers. If I had a general idea where Corellia is mentioned in the comics, I'll be able to find it. I have access to a large number of the Marvel comics. Trak Nar 21:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Government?

Is there any source that might identify what localized system of government Corellia uses? Because if so, that should definitely be included on this page. 76.93.65.34 22:29, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Earth-like appearance

Do you think that Correlia's similarity to Earth should be included in the Behind the scenes section? --192.55.208.10 07:01, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

arent most planets similar to earth? if not all of earth at least parts [eg forests sea deserts etc] Unsigned comment by 90.213.184.193 (talk • contribs)

morellia

why is corellia spelt so similarly to morellia? do they have any relation? Unsigned comment by 90.213.184.193 (talk • contribs)

  • No, they do not. --Imperialles 13:34, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Part of Darth Revan's Sith Empire

Ugh, according to the Essential Atlas map for the Jedi Civil War, Corellia was one of the planets that came under the rule of Darth Revan's Sith Empire and also hosted a Sith Academy. Is it just me or does anyone think this is worth mentioning? I mean Corellia is a CORE WORLD and one of the most influential planets in the galaxy. Not only that, but it is heavily referenced in Star Wars EU material and is a very well-known planet to the fandom. I think it is a pretty big deal that such an important planet came under the control of Darth Revan's Sith Empire and a mention should be place in the article. 173.66.218.243 16:49, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Main image change proposal

Since Suns of Fortune includes pretty and photo-realistic planet images, I suggest we replace the current infobox pic with a new one from the book. --LelalMekha (talk) 04:07, November 8, 2012 (UTC)

Option 1 (current)

Option 2

  1. I think it's more realistic, and it's also newer. LelalMekha (talk) 04:07, November 8, 2012 (UTC)

Discussion

-Alliance World?-

If a majority of Corellians fought for the Rebel Alliance, should Corellia be listed among the the other planets as an Alliance world in the Alliance to Restore the Republic page?.
