Name
Are we waiting for a new official word on his full name or is this still a work in progress? Because my point of view is that as George Lucas himself stated on Conan that Motti's full name is "Conan Antonio Motti", should that not be included in the canon section as well? I mean, if we're going to go by George Lucas' words for the name of Obi-Wan's homeworld of Stewjon (which as much as I love Jon Stewart is still a little ridiculous), should not "Conan Antonio" be included as well? --JuiceStain Rock on!

- The difference in this case is that the canonical Star Wars Encyclopedia lists Stewjon as Kenobi's home world, but refers to Motti only as "Admiral Motti." Once a new canon source gives Motti's first and middle names as "Conan Antonio", the article can be updated accordingly. Doctor Kermit(Complain.) 03:38, July 1, 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, ok. Thanks for the clarification, all this new canon stuff is going to take a while for me to get used to. Just out of curiosity, are you talking about a book or the SW.com online encyclopedia? I'd like to know so I can get on the same page as everyone else. EDIT: nevermind, I figured it out myself.--JuiceStain Rock on!

Does this refer to him being the head of the entire Imperial Navy or does it just refer to him being the Chief of the Imperial Navy ABOARD THE Death Star? Tagge's article seems to say both are true (about him, at least). Just looking for clarification. --SUPCOM0356 (talk) 22:01, January 19, 2017 (UTC)
Rank badge and official rank
Motti was Chief on the Imperial Navy, but his rank badge is that of a rear admiral lower half. Was his rank badge an oversight? DarthJarJar27 (talk) 00:20, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
