Nightswan's campaign
Would this event be considered part of Nightswan's campaign?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 22:56, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
- Does it relate to his campaign? --Lewisr (talk) 23:10, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
- This was how Thrawn & co. discovered the Imperial espionage operation I believe, although I don't remember if Thrawn & co. 100% confirmed that Nightswan was behind it.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 23:24, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
- Andykatib made a good job of adding the event into the Nightswan's campaign article but yeah you're right, we probably shouldn't add it until confirmation--Vitus InfinitusTalk 23:40, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
I had a look at the reference to the Circle Bay mayor's office protest in the Thrawn novel, which is mentioned in passing during a conversation between Thrawn and Yularen. I have reproduced the passage here for some illumination.
- "It would," Yularen agreed. Except that all the centers of power are up here, and we've got the best police, military, and private defense forces anywhere in the galaxy. Hell, we've got combat dojos that do nothing but train Senate and ministry bodyguards. Nightswan could agitate from here until Ascension Week without making a significant dent in anything that matters."
- "One would think Nubia equally immune to such threats." Thrawn indicated an entry on his datapad. "Yet this protest at the Circle Bay mayor's office seems to have been quite effective."
- "That was a unique case," Yularen growled. The perpetrators managed to get the entire kitchen staff fired, then infiltrated the new staff with their own people. Once you're got someone on the inside, you can pull off almost anything."
- "Exactly," Thrawn said. "You said there were dojos that specifically work with Senate bodyguards."
This passage suggests Nightswan may have a hand in the Circle Bay mayor's protest but doesn't directly tie the knots. This was part of a longer passage on Pages 214-215 where Thrawn and Yularen discussed Nightswan's activities. Would be save not to add it in until we have concrete evidence. Perhaps, Timothy Zahn may be able to clarify this point. Andykatib 00:38, February 7, 2018 (UTC)
