"Captain of the Line" or "Line Captain"?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I can't find any canon usage of the form "Line Captain" - The Imperial Sourcebook (pp. 101-103) uses "Captain of the Line" throughout as far as I can see, and "Line Captain" only seems to appear at Star Wars Technical Commentaries. [1]

Was it changed in the 2nd edition ISB? Anyone? --14:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • TheForce.net says it can be called either a "Line Captain" or "Captain of the Line".Snoop 14:55, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
    • I only see "captain of the line" in the ISB 2nd ed. Is either form of the rank mentioned anywhere else? —Silly Dan (talk) 15:02, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
      • On Wikipedia, the page is entitle "Line Captain"Snoop 15:10, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
        • Ah, but Wikipedia's article is probably based on the SWTC link you and McEwok both posted a link to. He's trying to see if the SWTC article's use of the term is speculative or based on its use in a licensed source. —Silly Dan (talk) 15:15, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I searched in all the books (the fiction ones, not the reference ones) I have, and the rank isn't mentioned. I don't know why, that doesn't surprise me. Snoop 15:21, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, both of you! Silly Dan got it right. If no-one else has anything to add, I'll remove the phrase Line Captain from the main article and drop a note in the "Behind the scenes" section. --McEwok 12:58, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
