Wait this generates Confusion as in Star Wars Galaxies there are bull Rancors on Dathimor however they lack the green skin , Tusks and long tail but are segnificantly big can we say there were Brown skin and Green skin bull rancors or what? 24.215.171.40 20:21, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Concept art vs. screenshots
Are we sure the rancors in The Force Unleashed actually have the tusks or that they're even different from normal rancors outside of skin color? The one battling the Secret Apprentice in the screenshot has the physique of a normal rancor, as do the Star Wars Miniatures/Hasbro toys. I think the rancor in that concept art might not have made it to the final game(unless he's being saved for a boss fight).InSaneWeTrust 22:49, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Size?
This article says that the bull rancor is a much larger subspecies of the more common rancor, but the image shows it to be smaller than a regular rancor (or at least the same size). -MPK 20:24, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't see anything unique about the Rancors in the game outside of skin color. The Hasbro toy is just called "Jungle Rancor" and the description on their site doesn't mention anything about being a larger species. I think that the big Rancor with the tusks was either a concept that didn't make it into the final product, or is being saved for some big boss fight. Either way, the Rancors in screenshots look nothing like it. InSaneWeTrust 07:57, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
No no no. On Felucia there are the aforementioned "Jungle Rancors" which are just differently colored and close to the same size and there are Bull Rancors who are bigger, stronger, and tougher than the "original". See the two lightsaber wielding figures? They are Maris Brood and Starkiller. See that hulking thing? That is a Bull Rancor. And see the skulls? The big things? Those are Bull Rancor skulls.

Sure, but it says in the article that bull rancors had no toes, but you can clearly see toes in the image
Bull Rancor a seperate species?
Wouldn't a "Bull" Rancor just be a male Rancor?
That's what "bull" would seem to imply.
Are there any sources that specifically identify them as a seperate species?Anderson 00:16, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- All rancors up to The Force Unleashed, to my knowledge, have been portrayed more or less exactly as seen here. While the odds your assumption is true are equally as high, it's at the same time unlikely that every single rancor was female. // ~mikah~ 00:24, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- frankly, i belive the whole "bull" part comes from the huge tusks and the way it charges at you
- Common misconception. Sorry. Mikah's right. Dr.Kermit(Babble here) 02:35, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Unidentified rancor throwing creature is a bull rancor?
With the exception of being bigger, the creature from FU2 kinda looks like a Bull Rancor from the original game. Is it possible that they might be the same?T-rex-king 01:12, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
Bull Rancor colour
I'm currently reading 'The Force Unleashed' and Maris Brood's Bull Rancor is described thus: "Its skin was a deathly white, giving it a ghostly, supernatural cast."
You should maybe remove the comic image (showing a brown/green rancor) or at least clarifyt the text on the matter. The book does also say that it was tainted by the Dark Side.
