Move to control chip?

Should we move this page to "control chip"? Both "The Lost Commanders" and the episode guide for it call it as such, and the name seems more suiting for the chip's true purpose: Order 66. Cevan (talk) 02:57, October 15, 2015 (UTC)

Move back to inhibitor chip?

Sure, Rebels called it a control chip, but is one nickname enough to warrant a page move? Especially when the Clone Wars final season used the term "inhibitor chip" again and Rex may have just called it by a less-formal name in Rebels because he hated how he was controlled by the chip when Order 66 was executed? It's like calling a lightsaber a laser sword. SeanWheeler (talk) 23:41, May 17, 2020 (UTC)

  • I think "control chip" is more fitting, since the Order 66 arc in season 6 of The Clone Wars makes it abundantly clear that the "inhibitor" purpose is just a cover story. The chips don't actually "inhibit" anything at all because there's nothing to inhibit. I would support a Palpatine Amendment-style move of the Legends page to "Inhibitor chip/Legends" so that the main "inhibitor chip" namespace can be a redirect here, though. Interview

StarWars.com The Creators of Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Season 1's Biggest Moments and What's Next on StarWars.com (backup link): This interview with Brad Rau and Jennifer Corbett has some talk about the chips. However, I don't know if it should be considered an in-universe source, or something we put in the BTS. SilverSunbird (talk) 23:34, 8 September 2021 (UTC)

Organic or not?

Is the chip organic or not? The article flip flops all over the place. SuperFeatherYoshi (talk) 08:47, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
