Spoilers spoilers for Battlefront II
Well as its being added onto the page I thought I'd bring it up here, the battle is much more than just the space battle as its also a ground battle within Theed itself, once the game is out we should probably move this to Battle of Naboo (Galactic Civil War) or something --Lewisr (talk) 06:55, November 12, 2017 (UTC)

- What about 'Battle of Naboo' (operation cinder). I think there may have been a few battles on Naboo during the war in legends, and this might accidentally cause the Eras template to link it to an unrelated battle in legends. Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 22:40, November 12, 2017 (UTC)
- Either Battle of Naboo (Galactic Civil War) or Battle of Naboo (Operation: Cinder) is fine as both are currently not taken so there's no chance of them being linked to something unrelated --Lewisr (talk) 22:42, November 12, 2017 (UTC)
- Thinking back now, I may have been remembering the assault on Naboo from the original battlefront 2, which was not during the Galactic civil war. Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 22:52, November 12, 2017 (UTC)
- You mean Battle of Naboo (Imperial Period)? --Lewisr (talk) 22:59, November 12, 2017 (UTC)
- That one, yeah. And it was definitely not during the war, so no name confusion there . Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 23:10, November 12, 2017 (UTC)

Are we even sure this is the same battle as in BFII? Lost Stars referenced three Naboo Sieges between the Battle of Endor and the Battle of Jakku, after all, and I don't see how the events of the Naboo battle as depicted in BFII can line up with what we saw in Shattered Empire. The two just don't seem like the same battle at all. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 06:01, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, Leia's clothing doesn't match up with the comic and the lack of Mellcrawler II (from what we can see) also means it is something different --Lewisr (talk) 06:28, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Lando even said that they had just received word that Operation: Cinder was headed for Naboo that lines up with the Raid at the Wretch of Tayron and plus the battle seen in BF II matches up with the events of SE II and SE III minus a few glaring omissions it really is one and the same.Jkirk8907 (talk) 15:51, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- The Torment is the Star Destroyer in the Shattered Empire comics as well as in BF2, and was destroyed in the battle. Although there are inconsistencies, it does appear that BF2's intention was to be the same event as the one from the comic.--Vitus Infinitus (talk) 15:55, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- One thing that makes doubt them being separate is the fact we would be saying the same situation sort of situation happened twice, twice Leia was out there with 2 other N-1 starfighters and nothing else, then the Restoration jumps into the system twice, seems a bit strange --Lewisr (talk) 16:01, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Is the implication that the ground battle takes place after Leia, Shara, and Soruna have their space battle? Because the only way I could see this being one in the same is if the ground events happen after Lando shows up with the fleet. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 16:08, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- The ground battle literally happens after the space battle, Lando and the fleet show up, destroy the ship, then Imperial troops retreat to Theed and then there's the ground battle --Lewisr (talk) 16:10, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- In that case I see how this would be the same battle. Makes sense. Is the space battle depicted in the game at all, or does it start on the ground? - Brandon Rhea(talk) 16:14, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- There is a space battle you play, then when you destroy the satellites and the Star Destroyer you return to Theed and play the ground assault --Lewisr (talk) 16:16, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Who do you play as in the space battle? Is it a depiction of the Shattered Empire one, or one that takes place after Lando shows up? - Brandon Rhea(talk) 16:25, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Iden Versio. yes it is a depiction of the SE one.Jkirk8907 (talk) 16:26, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- (Sorry for the barrage of questions, I haven't seen the game.) How does that track with Shattered Empire, where only three pilots took off to destroy the satellites? - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:05, November 14, 2017 (UTC)

- Basically the level starts with you arriving into the Naboo system with the 3 N-1s already fighting against the Empire and then you help out --Lewisr (talk) 18:08, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Oh okay, so they arrive with Lando's fleet? - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:27, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
Naboo Sieges
So I think the other issue we need to figure out is would this battle be considered Siege 1 of the three Sieges the Galactic Empire launched as mentioned in Lost Stars?Jkirk8907 (talk) 17:14, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe we should discuss merging this page into the Naboo Sieges. -
AV-6R7Crew Pit 18:19, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Disagree. "Naboo Sieges" is conjecture, and in fact if we knew what all three battles were I would argue in favor of deleting that page altogether. Because there's no reference to a collective "Naboo Sieges" event in Lost Stars. This is what the text says: "Three times now, the Empire had sent troops to invade; three times they'd been beaten back. Thane wondered how long it would take them to come back for number four." That is a reference to three distinct events, not one big event. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:23, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Or just rename the Naboo sieges into like the third battle of Naboo or something like that.Jkirk8907 (talk) 18:27, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Can't really make that decision until we figure out if the events of SE and BFII are the same battle or two separate ones. Arguably it's one battle, in my opinion. EDIT: Unless, of course, there's an Imperial retreat that precedes the battle on the ground. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:31, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- After the Star Destroyer is destroyed Imperial forces evacuate from the destroyer onto the planet, the rebels all return to Theed and then the ground assault begins shortly after --Lewisr (talk) 18:44, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe the Empire attacking three times refers to events in the Battle over Naboo, instead of three invasions of the planet by the Empire.--Vitus Infinitus (talk) 18:46, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Alright. Given what Lost Stars said about how the Empire sent troops to invade three times, the fact that the Imperial forces retreated to the planet suggests to me this is all still part of the first battle rather than the BF2 events being a second battle. At this point I think we can take further discussion about whether it's appropriate to have a Naboo Sieges page to Talk:Naboo Sieges. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:51, November 14, 2017 (UTC)

Image
I uploaded an infobox image from Battlefront II (a trailer specifically) but if anyone is able to get a better image that is more combat-focused, please replace it! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 19:13, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
