Commanders

Can senators Amidala and Tills really be called commanders during this? Rep. Binks I can understand, because he arrives with the Gungans. Tellanroaeg 12:19, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • They held a position of authority during the battle, and though they may not have been involved directly in military matters for the entire time, they still played a significant role in them. CC7567 (talk) 04:41, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

It should say 5 Karkarodons

First and second battle

Isn't it possible, that the first and second battle of Mon Calamari are actually the same battle from different perspectives? Darth Morrt 08:08, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

I've noticed many similarities between the first and second battles of Mon Calamari. The first battle involves Moappa while the second battle involves Hydroid Medusa both of which are types of jellyfish. Both battles involved Kit Fisto and both battles have the Mon Cala siding with the Republic and the Quarrens siding with the CIS. The only difference I saw was the involvement of Anakin and Padme and the later addition of the Gungan Grand Army. Unsigned comment by 115.186.169.29 (talk • contribs)

Outcome?!

Any chance there will be a mention of the temporary CIS victory in the outcome or anywhere? Could the outcome be a CIS victory and then the section AFTERMATH to include the uprising of the Quarren at the end of the 3rd episode?! After all, it was clear that the Second Battle was won by the CIS and Riff Tamson and what followed in "Gungan Attack" and "Prisoners" was more like a followed up struggle to bring freedom to the planet and that in no way means that those struggles were part of the battle itself. I believe it should be best to make the battle feature only the events up until the end of "Water War" and the events after that to be featured in an Aftermath-like section... What say you, admins, does the idea sound good or is it too pro-Confederate and not enough Republic?! --Dangrievous 08:17, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

  • Admins should not be consulted for a matter of this nature—the entire userbase should. CC7567 (talk) 03:52, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

Mon Cala and Mon Calamari

The article's name has been changed to Battle of Mon Cala instead of Battle of Mon Calamari. Is there any significant difference between Mon Cala and Mon Calamari or is just so we can differentiate between the two battles? Unsigned comment by 115.186.162.163 (talk • contribs)

  • Not to my knowledge. Frankly, I'm baffled as to why this move was made and not just left at the "Second Battle of Mon Calamari (Clone Wars)". – DigiFluid 22:28, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
    • Sadly, SW.com originally had a banner that read "Battle of Mon Cala," the battle's canonical name, on its main page. I would prefer the Second Battle conjectural title, but the official site is regarded as an official canon source. JangFett (Talk) 23:09, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
