Post-Endor

Do we know what happened to Traymane after the death of Emperor Palpatine? --SFH 16:58, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Latest word from the continuity officials is that he survived until at least the time of Jedi Outcast, but that his final fate has not been set. Gothymog 19:57, 2 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • Thank you. I've been waiting for months on an answer. -- SFH 20:13, 2 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Where does that quote come from? Lieutenant Gerard 01:19, 15 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • The quote is from Galaxy Guide 9. --JTS 17:40, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Kylanu

Not so sure that Kylanu and Tremayne had a Master-apprentice relationship. In Tremayne's injury induced dreams, the first dream references Tremayne on his 15th birthday, hugging his mother as a "quiet, bearded man" tells him that he can begin his Jedi training. Obviously this is an error (I know this was written before the prequels, I'm not blaming the authors) and can be reinterpreted as perhaps his "5th" birthday, late for acceptance into the order and explains the excitement. Then the text goes on to describe Tremayne "among the other Jedi students" as Kylanu berates him for his vanity. This can be interpreted as Kylanu being a youngling teacher as Yoda was for the Bear Clan. It also explains why Tremayne was in the AgriCorps as he probably wasn't picked up as a Padawan with this character flaw. I was thinking of changing the article to reflect these facts, but thought I'd see what others thoughts on the matter are first. (I won't add the whole 5th birthday thing as that's just my own interpretation and not really supported by the text.) Cull Tremayne 04:27, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Sounds reasonable to me. The newer sources definately imply Tremayne had a usual Jedi life until he got dumped in the AgriCorps. The usual age is 13, for that....perhaps this "hugging his mother at fifteen" is actually a reference to that? QuentinGeorge 05:22, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Actually thought of that too, but then the whole "His mother wept with pleasure and pride" doesn't really fit that situation. Cull Tremayne 05:36, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Mind you, A'Sharad Hett joined the order at 15 as well.... QuentinGeorge 06:14, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
        • EDIT: okay, my original information on Kylanu sending Tremayne to Vader was misinformed; but does Evasive Action: Recruitment ever say explicitly that Tremayne specifically was something other than a padawaan? I could well be wrong (of course!) but as I understand it, there's nothing to exclude this chain of events: Tremayne was raised by his parents (compare Quinlan Vos, Valin Halcyon or Callista Ming); at fifteen, he was apprenticed to Kylanu, and at eighteen he was with other trainees in some context. Then he's approached by an agent of Palpatine's, and recruited for training under Vader and weeding out the corruption that has begun to rot the Jedi ranks - this sounds like it should be during RotS now; and then we have Vader's speech: The Jedi order is fading, Tremayne, and they are reluctant to allow newcomers like yourself to reach the full extent of their potential. I will teach you, Tremayne. I will teach you all you will need to know to restore the Jedi Knights to their former glory. You will seek out the traitors, and together we will restore the concepts of order and justice to the galaxy...; the "full potential" stuff fits perfectly with young Vader, and the "newcomers" bit certainly suggests that he is a late-starter (emergency Clone Wars recruitment?); we might suspect from the restoring-the-Jedi bit that Tremayne was part of Vader's personal plans to ultimately overthrow Palpatine... but is there any need for major retconns, like making Tremayne younger? --McEwok 21:16, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
          • Ok, Quinlan Vos may have not been the right age, but he was getting training on Kiffu at a very young age. Certainly nowhere close to the 15 years old that Tremayne was. As for Valin, there's no explicit proof that he didn't begin his training as a baby. A'Sharad doesn't work either because he was also being taught by his father from birth. Callista is an anomaly, part of a rogue Jedi's vision, obviously not like Tremayne, as he wouldn't have been sent with the AgriCorp workers if that was the case. So to sum t up, yes there is need for a ret-con to explain why on earth Tremayne would be accepted at 15, when others like Isaru Omin were turned away. Even the chosen one was almost turned away at nine and he had the highest midichlorian count that they'd ever seen. Also that speech of Vader's and the subsequent speculation that you've added to the article isn't really needed. That speech could have been given immediately after the choosing of Tremayne that we see in Evasive Action. Cull Tremayne 05:53, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
          • Evasive Action has retconned Tremayne's background, along with giving him a first name, so that's no what's reflected in his bio. QuentinGeorge 06:35, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

In which source did he confront Vader?

I'd like to do a little forward reading, in which comic/game/book does lord vader confront Tremayne only to get his life support system cut off? Any info? User:tmr5555

  • Evasive Action: Recruitment .... 06:59, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

FIRST NAME!!

Antinnis! From EA:P. Along with some backstory info. Should probably wait a week or so, to be sure that info is correct, given source (Xizor--may be lying, but circumstances suggest not). But we'll see.

  • It's most likely accurate, and it seems they've retconned Tremayne's confusing background to a more orthodox Prequel Jedi one. QuentinGeorge 06:34, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Better check today's webstrip...and move this back to Tremayne. The name's refuted by the character himself - Kwenn 07:12, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
      • I wouldn't say that:
Tremayne: I didn't know that my name was Antinnis. I don't think I'll start using it..
He doesn't say it isn't his name - he just claims not to have known that it was. QuentinGeorge 09:16, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

What does it say, beyond the first name? And is the claim he was taken from home at "nineteen months" part of the retconning? Anyone got more direct details: could it be that this is misinformation, or ambiguous? --McEwok 10:51, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

The passage in question:

Xizor: I do not mean to be rude. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Prince Xizor of House Sizhran.

And you are Antinnis Tremayne, handed over to the Jedi Temple at the age of 19 months. You were trained by master Dav Kylanu until his death at the hands of the CIS. You were ultimately captured by CIS forces and held prisoner until the end of the war. Six months ago, you resurfaced in service to the Empire as one of few with the rather nebulous rank of Inquisitor.

You are currently expending tremendous resources in search of a 14-year-old human boy, an unclassified humanoid girl, and a rarely-seen Selonian male. You are going to even further lengths to keep this mission from your master.

Tremayne: I didn’t know my name was Antinnis. I don’t think I’ll start using it. What do you want, Xizor?

Xizor: Information is power, dear Tremayne. And power is what I want. In exchange for my silence, and perhaps even my help in tracking down those you seek, I demand you tell me in detail everything you know about the Emperor’s favorite servant, you master, Darth Vader.

Or perhaps I should bring this information to Lord Vader myself?

Tremayne: You have a deal. VT-16 13:16, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Well... to be pedantic, all this actually says is that Xizor's sources say this - it doesn't categorically override the earlier stuff. Unless anyone has any more to add, I think the article could do with a rewrite along the lines of "According to information obtained by Prince Xizor in the first months of the New Order... however, Tremayne's own later recommendations would indicate that....", and a note as to the reasons why both might be inaccurate.

Leesub Sirln

  • Something on Leesub Sirln should be added to this page. --Eyrezer 04:28, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Arden Lyn

  • The line on Arden Lyn at the end, is it known that he didn't just capture her and deliver her to the Emperor? --Eyrezer 04:33, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Dustin Hoffman

Is it just me, or does he look like a young Dustin Hoffman in End Game? .... 05:59, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

  • To me, he just looks like a retcon in human form.Darth Ceratis 01:39, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

New infobox image?

File:Tremayne-DSSB.png|Current image File:Tremaynecrop MTSESB.jpg|Option 1 File:Tremayne MTSESB.jpg|Option 2 I think a suitable crop of this new image would be a better infobox pic. Tremayne is more face on, and is not wearing his funny hat. Thoughts? I haven't checked our criteria or guidelines for infoboxes... --Eyrezer 11:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I quite like "Option 1" -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:16, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
  • As far as I understand, none of the images go against Wookieepedia infobox pic policy or even stablished precedents (unmasked if available and if representative, or whatever). As such, and if my vote is accepted, I like "Current image" for infobox, but Option 2 (or Option 1) should be added to the article at a later point--Skippy Farlstendoiro 07:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
  • I've put option 2 into the article. I'd like to stick with the current image, since it's basically tailor made for an infobox. Full-body shots aren't my bag, as I've made clear in the past, and I'd like to refrain from using cropped full-body shots as much as possible. Maybe it's just something in the back of my mind that says (there's more to this image) Thefourdotelipsis 08:53, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
  • I'd like option 3 as an image of the infobox picture. JediTrainer17
  • I say option 1 for info box and we use the current image in whatever part of his life he wore that hat.--TheDoctor42 19:51, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Essential Guide to Droids

I've found info on Tremayne in The Essential Guide to Droids, page 124, but I am not familiar enough with this person's chronology to pinpoint its location. "In at least one documented case, this small cubbyhole [in a MSE-6 droid] was packed with explosive detonite in an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate High Inquisitor Tremayne." --Skippy Farlstendoiro 14:24, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

His final fate?

Does anyone know when it will be set?

Empire at War

Judging from the remaining text strings, this guy was going to be a major Imperial hero in EaW, but went the way of Tani Ab'yla. - Brynn Alastayr 05:37, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
