Experimental

The number of AT-XTs used in combat does not suggest that it is an experimental design.

An experimental design would not be used operationally

"Although its acronym supposedly means “All Terrain eXperimental Transport”, the walker was deployed in appreciable numbers on several of the Wars' battlefields, including Jabiim, Rhen Var, Raxus Prime and Thule. The design remained unchanging during this period. Thus the walker cannot truly be called an experiment.It is sometimes claimed that AT-XT numbers were small, yet there isn't any supportive statistical evidence. Even if the Republic decided to operationaly deploy an experimental design it is unlikely in the extreme that they would order large numbers. Also if it were experimental the design would probably have changed at least once.

  • However, it was, as its name shows, an experimental model, even if it was mass-deployed. However, we only see it as a part of Kenobi's army, suggesting that the experimental models were used only by his army. Fleet Admiral J.     • Here's a fun semantics question: How can something "experimental" possibly be "mass-deployed"? That's contradicts the whole purpose of an experimental design, it doesn't get mass-produced or mass-deployed. At least with our resources. Hey, if this means the SW societies can mass-produce hundreds or even thousands of war vehicles, and still consider them only experimental, I'm fine with that. 8) VT-16 14:05, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

It was never mass produced but enough were made to see use in the clone wars. Exactly like the article said. This is no different then arming a regiment of troops with a new weapon for battlefield testing. This was a proof of concept vehicle I would assume. Since the AT-RT and AT-ST came from it and the AT-ST was used heavily by the empire. --Allurade Dendra 20:29, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Are the prices correct?

Speeds don't match up

The speed in the article is given as 75 km/hr, whereas the info column gives a speed of 25 km/hr (which comes from the RPG Clone Wars book).
