Birth
Can anyone confirm that she was born on Ryloth in 48 BBY? SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 08:44, 19 January 2009 (UTC) Why does it show 19 BBY as her birth year? Shouldn't that be her death year?
I just found confirmation of the 48 BBY date. See here:
The Official Jan Duursema Discussion Thread (post by Jan_Duursema) on the Jedi Council Forums' Literature board (September 25, 2003): "Aayla was 2 when Quin and Tholme found her on Ryloth. Quin was 11. So there's 9 years difference in age. Quin is Obi-Wan's age--which I think was stated as 25 during Ep I. So Aayla would be 16 at the time of Ep I." (backup link) (Note: Jan Duursema, co-creator of Aayla Secura, stated that "Aayla was 2 when Quin and Tholme found her on Ryloth. Quin was 11. So there's 9 years difference in age" and "...Aayla would be 16 at the time of Ep I.")
I've just updated the article to reflect this. Hope it helps. Termaforce (talk) 08:33, July 30, 2014 (UTC)
Accent?
From a prod. POV, what Earth accent does she have in Jedi Crash? Was that like Italian/French or Eastern European? Does this conflict with previous uses of her voice? 71.231.130.121 07:47, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- it was french. WILDEYE N-25 23:34, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, George Lucas started off wanting a ww2 female accent, but then switched to french to better fit her personality. --Staakillaz 18:51, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
Article needing cleanup
This article is in serious need of some clean-up. The parts of the article entitled Battle of Quell and Battle of Maridun contain almost exactly the same information except the Battle of Maridun goes a bit more in-depth!Ct6623

Addition to Abilities/Power Section
In Jedi Crash she has to focus for a long (comparatively) period of time to use the force to pull a lever. I understand the situation was difficult and unusual and she used that Force power with the same level of skill as Luke Skywalker in Episode 5 but I feel this event and display of her Force abilities should be mentioned. —Unsigned comment by 72.241.203.156 (talk • contribs)
Sebulba
CAn anyone confirm that Ayla and Vos saw sebulba attack Jar Jar Binks? robostuart@gmail.com 21:24, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Hello, robostuart. Quinlan Vos is seen in the background as Sebulba is threatening Jar Jar. See this scene in The Phantom Menace for yourself. John Ostander and Jan Duursema based Quinlan off of the background character in the scene. Apparently Aayla was on Tatooine working undercover with Quinlan. Here's what she says in Star Wars: Republic #38: "Quinlan and I were on Tatooine the last time Qui-Go was there. We heard about his death just before we left. Quinlan regretted not contacting him. We were working undercover and he wasn’t aware that Qui-Gon’s need was so desperate."--Justastarwarsfan13 (talk) 18:54, January 29, 2013 (UTC)
Jedi Master
I may have missed something, but how is Aayla a Jedi Master? She never took on any Padawans, and as such, shouldn't have been a Master. I thought only Saesee Tinn carried that distinction?--Demos Traxen 03:15, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Some sources say she was a master, but technically she was only a knight in true canon. (never got time to be promoted) --Staakillaz 18:48, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
I can find no in universe sources to confirm that she was a Master. Currently the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia is the only source referenced for this; personally I don't trust secondary sources. Can anyone confirm from an in universe source that Aayla is indeed a Jedi Master? --McJediProbie 23:29, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
- So far, no in-universe sources have utilized her rank as Master, but per the canon policy here, the CSWE should be enough, even if it is not widely accepted. CC7567 (talk) 23:31, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
- I guess if its accepted under the canon policy, then its canon, but I personally am still not satisfied. Thanks anyway though.--McJediProbie 00:08, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
Green In ROTS Instead of Blue
How does this affect established canon? 64.180.93.200 15:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
I think that was just the lighting of felucia. Or maybe the green-screens. xD You can see pics of Amy Allen (Aayla Secura's Actress) before she gets on stage, she is painted blue, no question about it. Staakillaz 23:06, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Semi Protection ?
Can I ask why this article has been placed under semi protection ? --86.167.42.64 12:32, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
- It's an article about an important character, so for avoid vandalism by no registed users they semi protected it.Der3000er 15:28, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Does GL have any plans to add Aayla again to the clone wars season 2?
I have been wondering for a while, any way to confirm this? I mean, they added Kit Fisto again so.... --Staakillaz 18:57, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
Hey anyone realise this yet....?
Aayla was in the Zilo Beast episode on his back, she even talks. Dont ya think this is worth mentioning? Staakillaz 23:06, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
Siege of Saleucami
We forgot to put in that Aayla Secura was in the Siege of Saleucami. I for one am not able to do so. I am just stating that it needs to be done. --Jackson31195 21:22, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Jar'kai? I think not.
Where does it state that Aayla Secura practiced Jar'kai? I haven't seen anything in the comics to confirm it, and as far as video games go: Battlefront II showed two different lightsaber colors. How is this canon?
Saber count in ROTS
Paragraph 4 in the 'Behind the scenes' section backs up the Jar'Kai claim by stating that Aayla carries two sabers in ROTS, one in her hand and one at her belt. However, a check on the Order 66 scene on the DVD shows that this is a clear continuity error: her saber is at her left hip and her hands are empty as we see her in reverse angle, but when the camera cuts to a frontal shot the saber is in her right hand and her belt is empty (she conveniently turns enough to see both hips).
Suggested edit:
- Secura is depicted in the game Star Wars: Battlefront II as having two lightsabers—a green one and a blue one (although she has blue and purple sabers in the cutscenes and the PSP version)—but is shown to use a single blue saber in all other appearances.
Or if that's too strong:
- Secura is depicted in the game Star Wars: Battlefront II as having two lightsabers—a green one and a blue one (although she has blue and purple sabers in the cutscenes and the PSP version)—but is shown to use a single blue saber in the films and animated series. —Unsigned comment by SDGlyph (talk • contribs)
Infobox image
Alright, image vote time. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 04:10, November 16, 2011 (UTC) File:Aayla.jpg|Current image File:AaylaEncyclopedia.jpg|New option File:AaylaHS-SWE.jpg|Alternate new option
Current image
- I disagree with it being better quality. The Geonosis backdrop makes her stand out more, as opposed to putting a blue-skinned individual, with a blue lightsaber, on a blue background. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 04:14, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- The Geonosis backdrop isn't of consequence. The article is about Aayla Secura, and the new image portrays her features much better and clearer than the current image. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 04:22, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

New option
Image is from the Encyclopedia, is more detailed, colors aren't washed out, and is overall just better quality than the current infobox image. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 03:15, November 16, 2011 (UTC)I prefer this one. It shows her true skin color better, does it with It has a less distracting background (which puts the focus on her where it belongs) and looks more realistic (the current one almost looks like video game graphics to me when closely examined). Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 04:30 UTC
Alternate option
- While I really am not a fan of that redundant blue background, the image is overall higher quality. CC7567 (talk) 05:37, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Ruthless Xero(Comment) 05:39, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Even better on the color issue, and the crop is more appropriate for the infobox. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 17:22 UTC

I would love to hear how you believe it shows her true skin color? All her appearances in the films display her with the toned down blue skin, not artificially augmented, almost neon blue. Her appearances in TCW also show her with more toned-down blue skin. That argument doesn't hold water to my way of thinking. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 04:34, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I was mistaken in my original assumption, but after going through her image category, it seems the two images being voted on here represent extremes. I didn't have to look too hard to find four EU images (File:Insider62.jpg, File:Cavaminaminor.jpg, File:Aayla and Quin Ord Mantell.jpg, and File:Aayla bellybutton.jpg) showing a brighter/stronger blue than what is seen in the current infobox image. It appears to me that the current image is the victim of poor lighting in that everything is either washed out in bright light or hidden in shadows, and the lighting in the new one probably isn't the best either. Most images I looked at showed something in between. So I've struck the skin color portion of my comment, but the rest of it stands. Master Jonathan — Jedi Council Chambers Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 05:11 UTC
I'm still for the Current image, but if there is to be the alternate option as a possibility, might I suggest the new crop I just put in the gallery for consideration? It's closer in, and I've desaturated the image a bit so it's less glaringly neon blue. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 05:26, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- I'd be willing to compromise with that image. The main reason why I nominated the new one was that the current one is washed out and isn't as high resolution as the new one. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 05:34, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Both the current image and new options are both 72 dpi, so therefore, they are the same quality. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 05:39, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Well the color issue still stands. Ruthless Xero(Comment) 05:40, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
