Timeline
Much of this page must be changed and moved to 4,990 BBY. The events of Tales of the Jedi: The Fall of the Sith Empire occur in 4,990 BBY, not 5,000 BBY. Calithlin 08:10, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Well... no, they don't. A simple reading of Golden Age of the Sith and Fall of the Sith Empire reveals that there's no possible way that ten years can pass between the two stories. Gav Daragon hasn't aged ten years, Naga Sadow has no reason to wait ten years to go through with his invasion, and Ludo Kressh wouldn't wait ten years to reappear and wage war. Yes, the actual comics claim in the timeline that ten years have passed, but the story itself negates that possibility. Similar odd and outright wrong placements occur in official timelines all the time --- Path of Destruction at 1020 BBY, The Approaching Storm at 22.5 BBY, etc. Menkooroo 08:18, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- If the comics say ten years passed, ten years passed. --Imperialles 08:19, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Just the Omnibus says it, and it's definitely a mistake, since nothing else agrees. - Lord Hydronium 08:21, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- The timeline in the front of the comics does... but the timeline in the front of novels also says that Rule of Two and Dynasty of Evil take place at 1020 BBY, even though the novels clearly take place after the Seventh Battle of Ruusan. Ten years definitely do not pass between Golden Age and Fall. Menkooroo 08:24, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- For the record, the original issues assert the 4,990 timeline as well. But this is a mistake, as per my reasons above. Menkooroo 08:25, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Unless retconned, 10 years passes like Imperialles says. If it has been retconned, well that's great, if not explicitly retconned then he events of the Great Hyperspace War occur in 4,990 BBY and Golden Age of the Sith occur in 5,000 BBY. It doesn't matter how stupid it seems, if that's what it is, then that's what it is, there's no use ignoring it. If it has indeed been retconned, then everything can stay as starting in 5,000 BBY and ending that same year. —Obi-wan Jacobi

- It has been retconned... more recent sources place the Great Hyperspace war at 5000 BBY. And said war doesn't actually take place in Golden Age, which is more of a leadup to the war that takes place in Fall. Most recently, Timeline 12: The Great Hyperspace War places the war at 5000 BBY. I believe The Essential Atlas did as well. Menkooroo 13:51, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, the sections of Crosscurrent that take place during the war are at 5,000 BBY. The Lost Tribe of the Sith eBooks also take place at 5,000 BBY. Menkooroo 13:53, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Awesome, well it looks like we don't have a problem then. :) And yes I know that GAotS is a lead up to the GHW and not the GHW itself. —Obi-wan Jacobi
