Battles

Should theRaid on the Armand Isard Correctional Facility and the Confrontation in the Caverns of the Hidden One really be under Battles they aren't really battles though aggressive action was taking in both. I think they should be under events. Apotheoses Jedi 15:39, 17 June 2009 (UTC-6)

  • I dont think the Raid shoud be in there. Thats more of a police action, and not a battle. That should only be in the events section. The Confrontion I believe can stay but that's really up to you. There's good reason for both of them to be in the events only column. Steves490 21:14, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
    • The raid was not a police action. It was mainly between Seff Hellin and Darkmeld, not the GA Security police forces. However, it can be debated whether or not this was an actual battle, or justt more of a mission. I belive it was a battle, though, as direct fighting actually took place. The confrontation, however, was definitely a battle, as anyone who has read Outcast would know. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jedi Beacon) 22:48, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
      • I know it wasn't an actual police action. I was saying that the raid wasn't a battle and just a mission, the jedi as Luke said,POLICE themselves. Which is what they are trying to do with Seff. Don't take the words too literaly. Now back to the point, I still think the raid should only be in the events section. Confrontation in the Battle section. Steves490 23:14, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
        • Was there direct, actual fighting involved, between explicit factions? Yes. It was a mission to capture Seff/free Valin Horn, that turned into a battle between Seff, GA Security forces/GA aligned bounty hunters, and Darkmeld. The other events listed here (Unification Summit, Jedi coming down with Force psychosis, Skywalker being exiled, Hamner being appointed Grand Master, etc.) are not outright battles, but rather things that happened (aka Events), whereas this was a mission in which a fight took place between defined factions (aka battle). • Fine, Fine two battles then, nothing changes. I know that article is your baby so if anyone can label it you can. Also, when looking at the 40 ABY article even the smallest conflicts are put in there. So if that's policy then keep it. Steves490 02:24, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
