- "All of the village's children knew her as the storyteller. On hot summer evenings, we'd gather under the takka trees to hear her tell tales of grand adventures and brave heroes."
- ―Ana Tathis, on Lady Caryn
The takka tree was a type of tree that grew in the vicinity of a village at some point by the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. On hot summer evenings, the children of the settlement, including the Human Ana Tathis, gathered under the trees in order to listen to tales told by the woman known as Lady Caryn, who maintained vast tropical gardens. Years later, Tathis recounted the gathering of the village's children under the takka trees.[1]
Behind the scenes
The takka tree was mentioned in Bill Smith's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded 1996 core rulebook of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
