Takhal nuts were a type of nut that was edible by Humans and sometimes served roasted.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] the Zeltron Dejah Duare purchased roasted takhal nuts and sweet ice for the Human Force-sensitive Kajin Savaros at a small bazaar on the Galactic Empire's capital planet of Coruscant.[1]

Takhal nuts first appeared in Coruscant Nights III: Patterns of Force, a 2009 novel that was written by Michael Reaves[1] with help from Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff.[3]
