- "Authorship of this memo is attributed to the 'Tactics and Strategy Subcommittee,' which had a revolving membership."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
The Tactics and Strategy Subcommittee was a subcommittee of the Galactic Empire. The subcommittee, which had a revolving membership, authored the memo "TIE fighters in a clustered battlefield," which argued that there were serious issues with the design and usage of TIE fighters that hindered the Empire's efforts in its war with the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] the historian Beaumont Kin mentioned the Tactics and Strategy Subcommittee when[1] he[3] cited the memo in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Tactics and Strategy Subcommittee was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
