Taan was a female Human who lived in the Cularin system during the time of the Clone Wars. While she was young, her mother was killed by the Thaereian military, and Taan and her brother, Dyrla, were subsequently raised by their father. Following the capture of the planet Thaere Privo by the Cularin Militia, Taan and Dyrla attended a Militia parade on the world Cularin.
