- "We're essential workers, or else they wouldn't need this many of us, and there wouldn't be all those nice incentives and benefits they promised. They need us, but we don't need them. The Empire basically just buys us with the benefits, and now they don't even bother to try and win our cooperation since they aren't keeping any of their promises. I say it's time.
Time for what?
Time for revolution." - ―TK-848 and TK-293
TK-848 was a stormtrooper who served onboard the Death Star II.

Born in the Outer Rim Territories, TK-848 came to serve the Galactic Empire as a stormtrooper and, in 4 ABY, was stationed onboard the Death Star II. He had a certain discontent with how the Empire treated him and the rest of the stormtroopers. Following several grievances, including lack of caf for the troopers and unpaid wages, TK-848 began meeting other troopers from different units after curfew and eventually presented the idea of unionizing to his fellow troopers TK-423, TK-293, and TK-534, who regarded him as an agitator. Later, when their shifts were escalated to fourteen hours with less breaks, TK-848 grew even more restless. Three days after the new shifts were implemented, he told his fellow troopers that it was time for revolution.[2]
A short time later, after communicating with many other troopers, TK-848 reported to his squad-mates that many other units were just as dissatisfied, even the ones stationed on the forest moon of Endor. Together, they planned a strike. However, the plan would be delayed when the Rebel Alliance launched an all-out attack in an attempt to destroy the Death Star II.[2]
