TIE bomber-shuttle conversions were Sienar Fleet Systems' early attempt at creating TIE fighter series shuttles for use by Imperial Navy officials. They were TIE/sa bombers whose ordinance pods were retrofitted with passenger cabins. However, such conversion were deemed too utilitarian, more suitable for technical or construction crews than for high-ranking Navy officers. Ultimately, those conversions evolved into the more comfortable and distinctive TIE/sh shuttle.[1]
