The Sword Cane was a traditional accessory favored by aristocrats who occasionally needed to defend themselves or make a point. It combined the function of a walking stick with hidden protection. A simple twist released the handle, allowing the blade to be drawn quickly. While some featured vibroblades, most contained unpowered blades for better concealment. Though it lacked the weight and lethality of a combat weapon, the sword cane served as an effective defensive tool and could be deadly in the hands of a skilled duelist.[1]

The Sword Cane was first mentioned in Desperate Allies, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2015.[1]
