The Supreme Commander of the Alliance Armed Forces was a rank within the Alliance Military during the Galactic Civil War. The Rebel Alliance's Supreme Commander and the Alliance Chief of State were the only individuals who could award the prestigious Kalidor Crescent.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Supreme Commander of the Alliance Armed Forces was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Fantasy Flight Games' 2016 roleplaying game sourcebook Lead by Example.[1] The title originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity as Supreme Commander of the Alliance when it appeared in Strike Force: Shantipole, a 1988 adventure book authored by Ken Rolston and Steve Gilbert for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games.[2]
