The Sulfur Lake was a vast sulfur pool on the desert planet Lok. It was located between the Sulphur Hills and the Westerly regions.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, the Sulfur Lake Pirates named themselves after the lake because their secret hideout was located nearby. Indeed, they unintentionally revealed the location of their hideout to their rivals.[3] After the Battle of Yavin, Princess Leia Organa briefly resided in a house built on a small island in the middle of the lake.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Sulfur Lake appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4]
