A substance analyzer[1] or sample analyzer was a type of sensor[2] that looked for anomalies[3] and identified poisons, toxins, and unknown compounds.[2] Food analyzers were a specialized version of the substance analyzer.[3] These analyzers were common in medpacs such as BioTech's FastFlesh medpac.[2] The Corellian Engineering Corporation Survivor lifeboat was equipped with substance analyzers as part of the craft's survival equipment.[1]
