The Sublight Star Five Million was a race held at some point by[2] 34 ABY[1] in which starfighter racer pilot Hype Fazon once competed. During the race, Fazon taunted his competing racers before throttling the sublight jets of his craft and crossing the finish line. As he did so and won the race, he also passed through Vargo's ring.[2]
In 34 ABY,[1] in the Aces' Lounge on the Colossus platform, Fazon once regaled fellow[2] Ace Squadron pilot[3] Bo Keevil with an animated recounting of his participation in the race. Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono briefly listened to Fazon's tale but was soon distracted when he noticed the racer Jace Rucklin tending the bar of the Ace's Lounge.[2]

The Sublight Star Five Million was mentioned in "Secrets and Holograms,"[2] the tenth episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which premiered on December 2, 2018.[4]
