"Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk recovered this before your other medals and honor chains were put into storage. We thought you might like to take it with you."
"Thank you. I'd prefer you keep it safe for me, if you don't mind. The path I'm on may turn out to be rockier than expected, and I'd hate to lose it."
―Supreme General Ba'kif and Mitth'raw'nuruodo[1]

The Stybla medal was a[1] golden[2] medal in the shape of a four-point pinwheel family crest of the Stybla family awarded during their honoring ceremony.[1]

History

Following the rescue of contraband at Pleknok and before the Vagaari pirate operations, Mid Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn" was awarded the Stybla medal. The medal was put on Thrawn's honor chains in a honoring ceremony held at the Stybla family stronghold on the planet Naporar.[1]

In the aftermath of Senior Captain Thrawn's last stand over the planet Sunrise, where Thrawn's fleet of Chiss vessels had destroyed Jixtus's, Admiral Dy'lothe was present during Thrawn's tribunal where Dy'lothe removed the honor chains from Thrawn's chest, including the Stybla medal. Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk had recovered the Stybla medal before Thrawn's other medals and honor chains were put into storage. Before Thrawn left, Supreme General Ba'kif presented the four-point pinwheel medal to him, hoping Thrawn would take it with himself. Thrawn replied that he wished Ba'kif would keep the Stybla medal with himself for safekeeping, as he would hate to lose it.[1]
