Stub was a clone trooper pilot who served in the Galactic Republic and piloted a clone Z-95 Headhunter at the Battle of Umbara[3] during the Clone Wars in 20 BBY.[4] The clone who adopted the name Stub flew in combat during the atmospheric battle against the blockade[3] as Republic forces attempted to destroy the Dual Hemisphere-Omni Support Vessel led by T-series tactical droid Commander TM-171 that was supplying Separatist Alliance forces on the planet Umbara's surface.[5] During the battle, Stub engaged multiple Zenuas 33 Umbaran starfighters near three Munificent-class star frigates and the support vessel, destroying one Umbaran starfighter.[3]
As all other Republic clones, Stub was cloned from the genetic template of the human bounty hunter Jango Fett and born on the planet Kamino. Stub was 1.83 meters (6 ft) in height,[1] weighed eighty kilograms,[2] had tan skin. The clone was implanted with a behavioral modification biochip at birth to ensure that they would not resist certain orders.[1] Stub was a scrappy aviator.[3]
Behind the scenes
Stub was mentioned in the Clone Z-95 Headhunter Expansion Pack of Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition miniature game[3] that was released on May 27, 2022.[6]
