Stregand was a male Bith who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, he represented a corporate lab specialized in biotechnologies.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Stregand went to Coronet City after he learnt the existence of an illegal lab on the planet Corellia,[1] a lab specialized in bio-engineering creatures through dangerous genetic experiments.[3] Stregand hired a spacer to steal some samples of blood from the engineered creatures in order to copy the process for his own corporation.[1]

Behind the scenes

Stregand was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] Stregand was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 28," on April 26, 2006.[5]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
