Stormtrooper 4 first appeared in the 2016 video game LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens as a comedic non-playable character. Graham Goring, the game's lead story designer, compared Stormtrooper 4 to the head-bumping stormtrooper from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[2]
