Star Wars Epic Adventures: Galactic Profiles is a series of flash cards containing reference information about key characters, locations, and objects from the Star Wars saga. Written by S.T. Bende,[1] the cards were released in batches alongside books from the Star Wars Epic Adventures subscription service. Each month, flash cards tying into a specific Star Wars film would be mailed to subscribers alongside several books of a similar theme.[4]
Each "Galactic Profile" features a back face with a large image of the subject. On the opposite side of the card, the subject's name, a one-sentence description, and a related location are listed at the top. A relevant quote is featured on the right, while a detailed bullet list describing the subject is featured on the majority of the card.[4]
Development
Examples of some of the cards tying in to The Phantom Menace
Informational cards on content related to Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones were released in May and June of 2019 respectively.[2] Cards focusing on Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back were written and printed, but never published as the Epic Adventures subscription service was canceled after two months.[3]
