Development

LucasArts planned to release a sequel to Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, entitled Star Wars: Jedi Knight III: Brink of Darkness. The sequel's plot was to focus on the ending of Kyle Katarn's story. However, after Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, LucasArts decided to not make a sequel to Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and the video game was cancelled.[2]

The game's logo was later revealed in 2008 with the release of Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts, a reference book of LucasArts.
