Star Wars: Droids Special

Star Wars: Droids Special is a one-shot issue of the Legends comic book series Star Wars: Droids (1994). It collects material originally serialized in Dark Horse Comics (1992–1994), and it was published by Dark Horse Comics on January 31, 1995. The story is set prior to the Star Wars: Droids miniseries and chronicles the first adventure of R2-D2 and C-3PO in the Kalarba system.

In their first adventure in the Kalarba system, Artoo-Detoo and See-Threepio arrive at Hosk Station, where they meet the intergalactic criminal, Olag Greck! Originally serialized in Dark Horse Comics, this tale led into the events of the highly popular six-issue Droids series, and is collected here for the first time. The Droids Special features previously unpublished preliminary illustrations by Bill Hughes, and a new cover by Kilian Plunkett. Fans should also note that this is the story that marks an appearance by bounty hunter droid IG-88, and introduces Olag Greck, Xob, and the Corellian pilot, Jace Forno, to the Star Wars universe!
