Stansel Malgreen[3] was a human general who served as captain of a Arquitens-class command cruiser belonging to the Galactic Empire during its war with the New Republic. After being slated to assemble alongside the Imperial forces at the planet Jakku for its final stand against the Republic, the light cruiser that Malgren commanded was set on a course for the desert world, but found itself intercepted by the Scepter, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer belonging to a splinter faction led by the rogue Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard. After being told by an officer that the other starship had been identified as being affiliated with the Empire, Malgreen was perplexed when another crewmember — who addressed their superior as sir — reported that the Star Destroyer was set on a course that would bring it colluding with the cruiser, ordering the Imperial officer to inform the other crew that they were part to the Empire. When the Scepter opened fire on the Arquitens-class command cruiser and another officer asked Malgreen for orders, the captain only echoed this query. The cruiser was subsequently destroyed by the Star Destroyer, with Malgreen killed in the resulting explosion.[2]
Equipment
The Imperial General had a standard gray Imperial uniform with a rank insignia plaque that contained a row of three blue tiles with two red tiles on the left. Additionally, the officer made use of an Imperial kepi with an officer's disk, as well as at least a single code cylinder on the uniform's left pouch. The general had fair skin, short brown hair, and a black mustache.[2]
Behind the scenes
Malgreen was introduced and killed in "False Histories," a comic story published in the first issue of the 2024 comic limited series Star Wars: Battle of Jakku — Last Stand.[2]
