A staircase droid[2] was a model of droid that acted as a staircase was used to allow a passenger to board a shuttle ferry at their respective stations on the planet Ferrix[3] in 5 BBY.[4] The droids had two photoreceptors and three white stair steps with red markings. The staircase droids moved with repulsorlifts.[3]
