A Staged Rocket Booster, also known simply as a staged booster, was a type of special modification for micro-rockets. It increased a micro-rocket's effective range by increasing the amount of fuel within the rocket itself. However, the added fuel risked unbalancing the micro-rocket's flight path, and the increased range came with the chance of misjudgement by the rocket's user. Many disregarded this risk, as it allowed them to fire micro-rockets out of retaliation range. A typical staged booster cost 25 credits and one notable model included the SoroSuub HV-33 Fuel Filter.[1]

Behind the scenes

Staged Rocket Boosters were first mentioned in No Disintegrations,[1] a 2017 supplement for the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2]
